    Not exactly.
so, I had a mental break around 2018 or so, was doing better after that for a bit, but ended up in March of 2020 getting an abdominal staph infection and had to undergo two debridement surgeries where they basically filleted me open from just to the right of my belly button around to almost my butt on the left side and drained the infection, at which I almost died and spent a month in a coma. Then had to spend 7 months in a locked down hospital for the massive wound to heal from the inside out before I was allowed to return home, during which time I lost almost 200lbs from my heaviest when I was swollen from infection and now way around 400. Unfortunately, spending 7 months on your back immobile waiting to heal resulted in me losing strength in my legs and core to the point I could no longer stand or walk. I’ve spent the last 3 and a half years rehabbing to rebuild my strength and work toward learning to stand and walk again. I’m doing much better and can sit up unassisted for a time and can even get myself to a seated position on the edge of my bed. Sadly, since I can’t yet stand and pivot nor walk, in order to get out of bed it is still required for me to be lifted out with a lift to transfer to a chair or carried out on a stretcher if I need to leave the house.

Well that too, but nowadays he's also gone full MAGA nutjob, so there's better reasons to rag on him.

I mean, anyone can be a creepy stalker, but it takes a special kind of idiot to support Trump.

When he is talking about having a gun so he can water the tree of liberty, and he cannot get out of bed to water the plants, his health problem directly effects his arguments.

If this is the case and @Sherlock Holmes argues that his right to own a gun would be for the purpose of an end to his life at the point it becomes too painful, I would actually be sympathetic to such an argument having been in a position like that and that is his business. I would think a person in the position of being bedbound and perhaps in a situation of perpetual pain which they wish to get out of, and they are not going to pose any threat of assault on others due to their physical condition should be considered for gun ownership.

I would be for opening up any means of ending it for a person who was looking for an out without judgment on their condition. My only argument with a gun in this case would be that I would want to offer them perhaps an easier less violent exit in case of pain, but gun is a statistically fatal method for suicide and it seems it would be quick and painless.

As for his gun protecting him from the tyranny of the government, his condition really shows the weakness of that argument. Are the evildoers going to come to his home and put themselves in the sights of his gun so he can shoot them? A gun really is not going to be much help if you are stuck in a bed in a house. It seems like his gun would not get him food or drink, and it would be really easy to kill him by shutting off the utilities and making him die through siege. Even if they wanted to kill him, I am pretty sure they could put some holes through his house and he could not really defend against that. It is not like he could run from window to window in a last standoff holding them off. In this case the gun really is not helping you at all.

One of the reasons we know the gravy seals are not going to offer up much of a revolution with their firearms is they are lazy fucking couch potatoes who get winded going to the fridge for a beer. Your gun is of no help to you in his main argument, and no one is afraid of it when it is wedged under your rolls or out of arms reach and you have to rock back and forth to get the momentum going to get to it.

I would be a gun safety and regulation fascist. It is a specific item where mistakes are brutal and fatal, and need is limited and imagined. So yes we should be extremely fascist in who we allow to run around with these things. I am also fascist in who we allow to handle large explosives, large machines with complicated operations, perform surgery or prescribe medicine, anmd I would really prefer to have a lot of limitations on government officials that are strict and allow us easy transparency and removal of corruption.

That fascist term is not one that frightens me because I have realized rules have a purpose, and if you are going to try to say that anarchy is the best system you are foolish. I have seen what people do without rules and regulations, and though I have had fun at places like action park, it does not work out well for many people.

We can start with something real simple and factual. It is fun and maybe you learn something.

Now we see that guns are not really all that fun to shoot at targets despite the claims of some people. Recreationally, if you wanted the challenge of target shooting, you would have a really special gun that costs a lot of money to compete. Your standard AR with a few upgrades is not going to make shooting fun. The purpose for these people is to shoot at others, and that is why it needs to be regulated because that is not inherently benign to society to give a person experiencing those violent urges a cheap and easily portable way to succumb to them.

The fact that most people couldn't be bothered learning how to use their gun so they are not a bumbling buffoon with it should let us know where we are at.

Yes, any person who does not know how to use their gun and practice with it under adrenalized simulated combat situations is not going to shoot well in combat. If you have not simulated combat with your firearm, you are toast versus a person with just a few combat experiences. There is a reason green soldiers are squids. Target shooting without practical training in movement and cover does not do a thing for a person in a combat situation. This is why Basic training for the military is not just shooting at some targets.

Since the state does want to give all their children guns, I do not see why teachers should not be able to at least shoot hbnack in the classroom gun fights. Little Jimmy gets rather testy when he forgets his homework, and when he pulls out his 9mm chrome glocks and tells mr. Addams to STFU, I think pugsley should be aloloweds to blow the smug look off his face before little Jimmy breaks his wrists for shooting sideways because he watched too many movies.
