Food assistance isn't helping the poor, it's giving hood-rat "Welfare Queens" with 6+ kids the good life of lounging about all day smoking Kools while they, the good honest (aka white) people have to go to work and drudge away at jobs they hate.

The hurdle you have to overcome is that the right thinks the social safety net is to put everyone in a McMansion (like them) and driving a moderately priced car (like them) with a few moderaly priced bonuses like smart phones and TV's (like them.). The social safety net isn't designed, nor should it be, to elevate everyone to the middle class with no effort. But, it is designed to make things a little easier for the poorest among us. Maybe that guy won't resort to petty theft if he doesn't have to worry about where his next meal will come from.

Government assistance shouldn't be designed to make people rich. But, it should make things a little easier. No person in the jurisdiction of the United States of America should have to worry about where their next meal will come from in THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD®. None. There, I said it.

I have a friend involved in a political group whose sole purpose is to reach across the aisle - it's a bipartisan group and the emphasis is getting to to reason why there is so much division in our country. I've told her repeatedly she has eversmuchmoreso patience than I have as I can't listen to people making outrageous (from my point of view) claims. But, I am trying. Thus, asking OF why he thinks this way. Maybe, if we can get to the root of why he thinks the way he thinks, we may also learn something ourselves. Just a thought.

I like how people think splitting the party would help. When you do not have a dem candidate who can get over 50 percent in the initial election you will have a run off because the republican base will be split. If you have a huge majority of republican voters they will just win the run off even if the dem makes it into the run off. We got lucky with the GA senate seats, but the house seats are far more gerrymandered. They will not necessarily include blue counties around Atlanta. This is the sort of scum you will get when most of your voters are @oldfella1962 or worse. You are noit going to get good decent people when the vast majority of people are Qackanon racists who would crash their own environment to own the libs.

All of this seems like another distraction. I agree her bullshit is awful, but there is no way to rid ourselves of a few Qacks in congress. All taking her out is going to do is get a new Qack in there, and that is if she cannot just run again. All the news is involved with her next video or quote like there is something new. We need to stop stopping everything for a pissbaby or two. Congress does not charge people with crimes they can be imprisoned for. You give that shit to the police and you get on with your business. It is now february and we are still arguing over who gets impeached or not. You do not need to impeach someone who is in jail. No one needs to be removed from office to be prosecuted now. Stop delaying needed work with this schoolyard bullshit. If they broke the law have the police charge them and the courts deal with it because that is the process. Congress has a job to pass things like the stimulus and not dick around with this bullshit.
