I knew a lot of Mormons growing up, and also a lot of evangelicals. Though there were some good people in both groups, there really were no bad apples whatsoever among the Mormons. I even dated one for a while, which I suspect was a form of rebellion on her part. Last I heard, she had 7 children's Salt Lake City.
Every Mormon I've known has been among the nicest people I've ever met. I still can't stand Mitt Romney, though.
Mormons are pretty much one of those shit stains who think that if they show the outward display of purity then that means it excuses them being complete subhuman pieces of dog shit. I mean that. I've met several Mormons who are hypocritical pieces of trash which the world would be better off without.
Yes, and the same is true for alcohol. Consuming a beverage mostly designed to deliver vast quantities of either substance into your bloodstream is still a different thing.
Interesting that you come up with such a strongly insulting condemnation of millions of people, on the basis of "several" you didn't like. I thought that kind of bigotry and lumping everyone together in order to make them the bad guys was reserved for the far right, but I see that you fit the bill, too. Which doesn't actually surprise me much, coming from you. The attitudes of people like you, Diacanu, Black Dove and a few others go a long way to showing that the absence of religion doesn't always make for better people than the blindest adherents to the most extreme religions. The same hate, the same blanket condemnation of a whole group on the basis of the few members of that group you don't like, often on the basis of imagined or exaggerated ills suffered, the same arrogant assumption that you are absolutely right and all those who disagree with you are inferior beings... Rational atheists who are nice to people even when they disagree with them (people like Paladin, for example) must sort of wish that guys like you were fundamentalist Christians, or extremist Muslims, or something.
Hey, hey, whoa, whoa, don't drag me into this shit. I didn't say this shit about Mormons, and I didn't rep it. Talk about fucking conflating.
You say those kinds of things regularly about all people who believe in spiritual values. Trying to pretend you're so holy and innocent now, because you didn't participate in this particular debate, is extremely disingenuous. If you don't like the reputation you have as an arrogant hater of all persons, beliefs and practices that have to do with religion, you shouldn't have spent ten years cultivating it.
