    Ah, buncha John Wayne bullshit.

Let's attack the myth head on.

If anything, I see Kirk's energy vibe as feminine.

Look at him when he's sweet talking a lady.
    He gets all girly.
    He's a chick!

Look at his other behavior, you see that's the core of his being, and that everything else strings onto that core.

That lovey-dovey Kirk is the real Kirk, everything else is affectation.

Look at him when he is in "kick ass", mode on the bridge, it's not strutting macho asshole violence, he's like a mother wolf protecting her cubs.

Look at him smirking at Spock and Bones when they fight.
He's like their mom going "there's my boys ".

Kirk's a big ol' heart on his sleeve softie wearing a tough guy mask when he has to.

    He's girlier than Archer, really.

He just gets away with it cuz Shatner's got a deeper voice than Bakula.

    Only difference.

Well, you are the only person I've ever heard of who thought Kirk was feminine.

    Wonder what that means. :)

    Kirk's a lesbian!! :soma:

Marso, is this the episode where Archer tells Mayweather to do "Evasive maneuver (insert random greek letter and number)" and the Enterprise does an Immelman? And the battle-hardened Klingons fall for it?

    I laughed SO hard.

Zat the one with the cool little backflip manuver at the end?

always thought that made the whole episode and gave us a glimpse of what Archer could/should have been.

of course....if you know, as Forbin apparently does, that that's the battle equivilant of the "Statue of Liberty Play" then maybe it loses some charm....but not knowing that, I thought it was cool...I figured 98% of the viewership shares that bit of ignorance with me so it's hardly a big deal in terms of "believability" for most of us.
