Awwww....am I bullying you? Actually, I think the real bullies are those who can't separate online shenanigans from real life, and dox people and contact their employers in an attempt to get them fired. People like El Chup.
^The question then becomes why your real life seems to consist entirely of online "shenanigans" (your posts wishing death on people or reminding them of the untimely deaths of their loved ones are not "shenanigans").
And it looks like that is exactly what we are getting. Only difference is both candidates like to get touchy feely with women and this time democrats are fine with it.
Took like 3 hours for a lot of people to decide Kavanaugh was guilty You guys have politicized rape and sexual assault, well done America
It's true. A Trump lifetime appointee in a brief Senate hearing and a year long election process require different rates.
I'm sure if Joe Biden wins, there will be a hearing that will hold him accountable. I mean, look what they did to Trump. The GOP learned their lesson from that, I tell you. The important thing is that we'll take care of it later. Swearsies. #BlueMAGA
I love how, in pursuit of the "Democrats said all women should be believed!" narrative, we're forgetting about Julie Swetnick, whose accusation against Kavanaugh was looked into, found to not be particularly credible, and dropped.
Not at all. The Swetnick and Blasey Ford complaints were found to have dramatically different levels of credibility, and were treated accordingly. And the Reade complaint falls a lot closer to Swetnick terrority.
In your opinion. I've listened to the interviews, read the articles, and I've seen videos of Joe Biden touching women and making them uncomfortable. Before the Reade thing exploded I thought Joe Biden was a predator, and there were still plenty of opportunities for other candidates to take the spot, but the DNC wanted Biden, and he's being backed by a lot of influential movers and shakers in the Democratic political circle, so even if Tara is being 100% honest, it cannot be entertained, and has to be dismissed as not credible. It doesn't matter that there is more evidence for Reade's claim than Ford's claim, or that the Dems jumped on Ford's claim in a heartbeat and pushed hard to get Kavanaugh denied the seat on the court, while with Tara the major news outlets waited a month until Biden was the last remaining nominee. It was #MeToo, and #BelieveWomen, and now it's well... it's not really credible. You'll see all the same defenses that came up to protect Kavanaugh, but from blue corners this time. Just as Alyssa Milano, who went from crying about Kavanaugh being confirmed, to considering Tara Reade a Russian agent. I understand the motivation, though. The Democrats are willing to vote for Joe Biden because they're scared of Donald Trump, and sometimes that means pushing down things they know are wrong. It will still come out, but like the GOP, the Dems will just shove it aside. It's a partisan issue now, so only Russian bots, Trumpers and Putin's minions could possibly be behind her story at this point, many "Blue no matter who" proponents will say, and that will be enough.
"Biden himself should address the Tara Reade allegations and release relevant records" - Washington Post Editorial Board Source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...a36694-8a45-11ea-9dfd-990f9dcc71fc_story.html The New York Times had to correct Biden, whose campaign stated the paper had said they'd vetted Reade's story and found it not credible. They claim they made no such assertion. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/29/politics/joe-biden-tara-reade-new-york-times/ By the way, the article they're referencing was edited at the behest of the Biden campaign. Where it had said: It had originally stated: I remember because I saw the tweeted article when it happened. You can read their explanation for changing it at the Biden campaign's request here: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/13/business/media/joe-biden-tara-reade-new-york-times.html Yet Tara's word is the one key Democrats find not credible. That line of reasoning sounds so damned familiar. I mean, wouldn't we be saying "Time's up, Joe Biden!" even if we didn't have all of the information? We did with Kavanaugh. Oh, speaking of Time's Up, remember that article I posted some time back? Time’s Up Said It Could Not Fund a #MeToo Allegation Against Joe Biden, Citing Its Nonprofit Status and His Presidential Run Source: https://theintercept.com/2020/03/24/joe-biden-metoo-times-up/ Credibility sure seems to stretch and shrink like electability at times, doesn't it? Rather odd, that.
The Washington Post is left of center. I'm not sure I see reason for alarm. Appropriate calls for action are being made. That editorial was published today.
No shit, really?! It came out today?! :| Also, WaPo is owned by Jeff Bezos. How fucking right leaning do you have to be to call it left of center?
No prob. Was just trying to get the scoop without reading 20 pages. It's amazing you're not more loved here.
I'm sure if we send Biden up to Canada (Montreal in particular) he can find some snapper he's willing to molest. All chain smokers but hey, no one's perfect!
What are "things we don't ask Joe Biden without giving him fully prepared notes." I'll take Potpourri for $1000, Alex.
There is one piece of good news in this whole thing. These things are too important to completely brush under the rug today. This means Biden will have to prove he is woke. He will have to prove those days are behind him, and that he has evolved. Unlike Bill who got a pass for his professional troubles with touching women under him, Biden has to do something to show he is not the old Biden. Even Kavenaugh has to walk a tighter line because they are looking for a reason to toss him out, and another rape or disrespecting women like Thomas did will not go down well like in the Thomas hearings. Biden will have lots of pressure to promote legislation for equal pay and other issues that effect women like health care and abortion access. This will cause him to be more outspoken on those issues in order to confront his reputation. Every tijme he tries to push a woman's issue off they will rightfully toss this in his face and beat him over the head with it. He will respond much better than Trump who's supporters hate women and love his rapey nature. It is not the best scenario, but it is also not tacking back as long as the people use his past to beat his tired right wing ass to the left. In the end this is what we will have to deal with for the future as this is what most politicians did in this age group. Bernie is really an anomaly on the left. The left is full of older male cadidates who are ripe for presidential runs, but who lived during the time when touching, fucking, and catcalling women were a feature of being an old white male politician or rich dude. These guys have not died off. They are still out there and in power. You cannot spit in the federal government without hitting one, unless you hit one of the few women out there. This is not a reason to stop demanding better or to give up on things. This is a reason to swing harder on the old dudes so the new generation knows it is not acceptable.
That would be good news, to some extent, if it were not for the issue that many Dems seem more interested in just ignoring it. They're ignoring the times he's touched women and children, along with the other 7 women who have filed complaints about his violation of their personal space, his penchant for swimming nude in front of female secret service agents, and if they're willing to look past that and call an accusation of sexual assault against him "not credible," what else will they turn a blind eye towards as long as things go back to what they consider normal? The Democratic party is just as soulless and corrupt as the GOP. The difference is that the GOP embraces it, while the Democrats still think they have the high ground.
