Last night's season/series final of Life was the best episode of any show on TV this season. Life stars English actor Damien Lewis (Band of Brothers, The Forsyte Saga), and Iranian-Hispanic (from Texas) actress Sarah Shahi (The L Word, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders). Each of these were really outstanding on this show. Life will most certainly be cancelled by NBC. You can watch the final, and other episodes, at NBC.com.
Good episode, I don't know if the show is canceled but it made for a fine season or series finale. The best part was in the resolution of the key storyline, questions were answered, loose ends tied up. Yes it was rushed but perhaps the writers got the heads up about the show being canceled and wanted to wrap things up instead of just hosing the audience by continuing a plot that wouldn't have a resolution. That's what happened with Life on Mars, the writers had to condense the entire story arc into the last half of the first season. I'm glad they did in both instances.
Here are the Nielsen fast national figures for Wednesday at 9:00 PM. American Idol (FOX)............22.43 million viewers Criminal Minds (CBS)...........13.25 Lost (ABC)........................8.29 Life (NBC).........................4.50 The problem for Life is Criminal Minds. Life hasn't been able to take viewers from this established crime drama. If NBC were really interested in this show, they could have given it a better time slot.
Cobalt, why do you keep saying Life is going to be canceled? I've yet to see anything remotely official that talks about this. I agree it's possible, but you keep saying it's a given. Anyway, I greatly enjoy Life, it's my favorite show on TV right now. I'd recommend it to anyone.
I hope that Life returns next season. It would perform well for NBC, Friday at 9:00, or Wednesday at 8:00. Or it could go to the USA network.
Cobalt why do you use such an off-putting posting style? I really like the content of most of what you say, but for some reason the un-natural line breaks and so forth really take me out of moment when I read them.
