I’d personally like to see 0 - 1 immigrants annually. But merit-based immigration is an enormous improvement on what we currently have: if you’re going to flood US with third-worlders, it’s much more sustainable to cherry pick the ones capable of carrying their own weight.

One could wish that liberals all over the country woke up one day, realized the inconsistencies, incongruities and outright self-destructiveness of so many of their positions and come to the same realization; "We regret the error."

If you really want to stop them from coming in you need to stop the visas for cheap educated labor. Most Muslims are not coming over here getting welfare. They are actually taking decent jobs and business opportunities because they want to get out of their country and it costs money to get to America.
