I subscribed to Maximum PC today after buying an issue in the Walmart the other day. Hell of a good magazine.

    What do YOU subscribe too?

I used to have subscriptions to "JP" and "Peterson's 4-Wheel and Off Road," but I let them lapse. I mean, looking at all that Jeep pr0n was fun and all, but managing the stacks of old issues I couldn't bring myself to throw away became more than I cared to deal with.

None currently. Last one I recall subscribing to was Men's Health, IIRC. It didn't help me...I'm still an unhealthy slob.

In the past I've subscribed to Discover, Scientific American, Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, Analog, Omni, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Consumer Reports, and Playboy. Probably others, but those are off the top of my head.

There are several magazines that I buy off the news stand (Fine Scale Modeler, Soldier of Fortune, Military Miniatures in Review) and, while I could save a little money by subscribing, I actually like having an excuse to go to the book store.

Tried some of the other finance-y ones available on the Kindle but none managed to convince me so that's what I'm stuck with for the moment, I guess...

I'm down to just Private Eye, I'm 12 months behind reading my New Scientists so I had to cancel lest I end up swamped in unread issues :(

Back when the Star Trek magazine was out, I bought it every week at Kroger. I also had the fanclub magazine, til about season 2 of Enterprise. Other than that... no, nothing really. I'm about to subscribe to a couple chemistry publications.

The only magazines that I actually subscribe to are Reason, Model Railroader Magazine, and American Rifleman (the NRA magazine).

There are several more than I read, but I just pick them up off the newstand.

Just AOPA for me, for physical magazines. I'm mostly subscribed to a bunch of RSS feeds - they take up a lot less space and are cheaper. Fewer ads.
I get some other airplane magazines, but I don't think I've subscribed to them. Folks seem to like giving stuff away to pilots, like we all've got a lot of money or something.

    Interesting thing about magazines.

readership has apparently increased 11% the past 2 years. Pretty amazing considering how popular the internet is.

 I used to get a lot more, but I've cut down. The airplane magazines have gotten repetitive in the historical articles, and boring in the new military articles, because there isn't much new military these days.
