Oh! And watching order is Season 1, Season 2, Defenders, and THEN Season 3. Something happens in Defenders that sets up Season 3, and you'll be confused without it.
Meh, not going down that rabbit hole. If I get to something that confuses me (like why Stick had to kill Black Sky), I'll take a shortcut and look it up.
I mean, I know who they are, pretty much. I saw Luke Cage in Jessica Jones (oops, double entendre there) and I sorta know both him and Iron Fist from the comics.
Your enjoyment would be enhanced by seeing Luke Cage, Iron Fist is boring, and you can really skip it. You really can. But, you don't NEED either to understand Defenders. If you're itching to jump into Defenders, go right ahead.
The Avengers 4 trailer will drop before the end of the year. https://www.cbr.com/avengers-4-trailer-before-end-year/
Black Widow and Eternals will be the MCU movies for 2020, and Black Widow will be set before Iron Man 2. https://www.cbr.com/black-widow-eternals-rumored-2020-release/
Guess: time travel via the time stone puts the Avengers in an era where the Ancient One is still alive and responds to the incursion.
Venom has crossed 500 million worldwide. So, Sony finally gets to strut. They just gotta hit 2 more home runs to wash the curse of Spider-Man 3, Amazing 1 and Amazing 2 off. I'm sure Spider-Verse will nail it. They just need to make a good Morbius movie.
We don't know. Netflix won't confirm anything. Jessica season 3 and Punisher season 2 are filmed, so have to come out, but after that? You're as in the dark as the rest of us. My personal guess? Nope. Disney wants to draw everyone to their thing, and Netflix wants to do other stuff, so their Marvel stuff is probably gonna fade way.
Avengers 4 runtime currently stands at 3 hours. Y'know? I think they should leave it. Let it be 3. It's wrapping up 20 fucking movies. Lord Off The Rings were all 3. Lawrence Of Arabia is 3. Why can't we have a 3 hour fucking movie? I can handle it. Let's go!
Didn't realize that, but I don't think I gave anything away in my last post. Just wanted to say that if S3 is the end, there was an actual ending. I hate it when a show is cancelled and just stops without resolving at least some of the plot and character arcs. Again, JMO.
Aaaand, just finished! You're right, if that's the ending, it's a good one. So, you haven't given your review. And by that, I mean all three seasons. Dig you dig it, or what?
Possible spoilers: For the most part I loved the character arcs: Sweet, innocent Karen has a very dark past Fisk has an Achilles heel in Vanessa; the play of emotions on that otherwise stone face when he talks about her is subtle (particularly for D'Onofrio) and intriguing...we wonder just how far he'll go to protect her Murdock's real battle is with his soul and, as any [ex]Catholic can tell you, that's is the real battle Sister Maggie? Hmm. Good performance, but not sure I buy her backstory Ellison? Written and played the way journalists used to be Claire and Foggy...no complaints there, but I did wonder how a puppy like Foggy ended up with a fox like Marci The ambiance? Yeah, that's NY, all right. Suitably dark and menacing, more going on underground and on the rooftops than the average citizen knows or wants to know about. Tended to fast forward past the fight scenes. Yeah, I know, they're a graphic novel staple, but after a while it's like "Oh, come on! How many bad guys armed with guns/arrows/ninja stars/clubs/chains, etc. can Matt vanquish without being killed or even breaking his nose or losing a few teeth?" Overall, once I accepted the genre, I enjoyed it. Wouldn't necessarily watch it a second time. And, no, I don't want or need to watch any of the ancillary stories (Defenders, etc.). Good enough? ETA: Nadeem. No idea which way he was going to jump (I don't think he did, either, until the last minute). Impressive.
Travis Knight (Kubo And The Two Strings, Bumblebee) might direct Guardians 3. http://www.darkhorizons.com/travis-knight-rumored-for-guardians-3/
