It may seem like jumping the gun, but it's coming right up.

So, here's what we know is coming based on films in active development, or have writers and/or directors, or are searching for writers/directors, or are obvious gimmes.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3
    Black Panther 2
    Black Widow
    Eternals
Ms Marvel (Kevin Feige says they want to do it)

Here's ones that are kind of no-brainers even though they haven't been announced.

    Raganarok 2
    Captain Marvel 2
    Dr. Strange 2
    Avengers 5

And here's the inaugural news item.

Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio in Homecoming 2.

    Certain.
    Certain.
    Certain.
    Possibly.
    Maybe.
Well, Thor 4. Highly probable, methinks, given how well Ragnarok was received. Unless Hemsworth is done. He's been giving mixed messages.
Probable, but it turns on how well the first one does.
I would think so. The first film did pretty well.
Certain, though the line-up will be very different from what we have now. I expect Black Panther and Captain Marvel to be the centerpoints. Maybe with Ant-Man, Wasp, and Dr. Strange?

Yep. Very few characters who died in Infinity War are going to still be dead by the end of Avengers 4.

I suspect the only people who will be dead at the end of Avengers 4 have yet to die (possibly for a second time). I can't think of a single death in A3 that I don't expect to be reversed.

It's possible they will all be undone. It depends on how the "undoing" happens. Presumably, a person in control of the Infinity Gauntlet could rewind all the way back to the beginning.

Yes. And I can't see Heimdahl or Loki or indeed to remaining population of Asgard remaining dead.

You're probably right. Thor: Ragnarok is a real bummer when you watch it knowing what's going to happen 15 minutes later.

And what better punishment for Thanos than to to let him see all of his works undone?

So won’t that happen at the end of the film meaning less characters in the majority of it?

Oh, and Homecoming 2 is "Far From Home".

I gotta train my mind to use this one for the phase 4 stuff, and not the phase 2-3 one.

The only phase 3 movies left are Captain Marvel, and Avengers 4.

    Well, fuck!
James Gunn has been fired from Guardians 3, because he made crass jokes when he was young and stupid, and some asshole dug them up.

    http://www.darkhorizons.com/james-gunn-fired-from-third-guardians/

So, you can't direct a movie for saying off color shit you regret later, but you can be president of the US saying evil shit you'll never regret.

Well, fuckballs, this is how Marvel starts to bleed out.

Unfortunate - the 2 GOTG movies are some of the best MCU movies, period

This is a direct result of the leftist driven outrage machine

    No, right-wingers dug this up.
This is a case of "let us pour racist toxic waste out of our mouths, or we'll burn what you love to the ground".

And Disney fired him because they were concerned the outrage that would have occurred would have hurt their bottom line

Well, one bright spot....Gunn backlogged a massive playlist for sequels in case he got hit by a bus or something.
So, Disney has the soundtrack for part 3 anyway.
    The soundtracks are the key.

This is such bullshit. If RDJ can be redeemed, to say nothing of every fucking protagonist in a Guardians movie, then so can Gunn.

Well, this is the PC world we live in. I wish there could be some kinda statute of limitations on digging old stuff up--otherwise we wind up destroying people today for some stupid, offhand thing they said many years earlier and that had long since been forgotten about--but there's no way to enforce this.

I'm sad that Gunn is off GotG3; I've liked the prior GotG films (albeit the first substantially more so than the second).

Gunn was a vocal critic of Trump. I wouldn't mind better this is some sort of attempt at "revenge" over Roseanne, also fired by the Mouse.

Yeah, but Gunn is the writer, he knows the story and how the songs work. He even writes scenes specifically to match the song. This is very disappointing and it may make a would be hat trick a flop. Maybe not a flop, but you know what I mean. Now we’re going to get a Rtern of The Jedi with Ewoks and all.

So, this is one of the tweets that got him fired.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/Cernovich/status/1020195203158872064

Not exactly what I'd call a joke. Any of the cast commented? The cast of Roseanne spoke out when she got axed. Kinda odd that they'd ditch a guy over 10 year old tweets if he made them over $1 billion. I suspect that there's more to this than we're hearing about.

He's just the latest to discover the internet is like amber.

Can't say I like it, it makes no notion for change. I mean, I certainly smirk when some po-faced, self-righteous prick gets their high horse shot from underneath them, but that doesn't mean I have to like the weapon used.

There's a marked difference between weaponizing snapshots of a persons past and using several instances to display a continuing trend, and I'm not sure people are wired up enough to realise that.

    Either.

    1. He made a tasteless joke about a creepy thing in the news.
    2. He publicly confessed to illegal possession of kiddie porn on Twitter, and is therefore the stupidest person on the planet.

Which do you think is more probable?

Given I know almost nothing about him, I have no way of knowing. I'm sure we can all think of instances where we've thought: "Nobody could be so stupid as to ________" and yet they are.
