Guardians 3 is being delayed indefinitely.

It's too lucrative a franchise to simply go away; it will undoubtedly get re-scheduled.

I dunno, Disney's painted themselves into a corner, and I've repeatedly seen CEOs prefer "face", over dollar signs.

Okay, here's the scenario where we get Guardians 3 under James Gunn.
They're waiting for the Fox deal to close so no other MAGA asshole can sabotage it further.
They'll pretend Guardians 3 is dead until then.
If, by the time Gunn is re-instated, we pass Guardians on the chronology, no matter, they can jump back on the timeline like Guardians 2, and Captain Marvel.

Taika Waititi has met with Marvel to do another movie.

So, what do you think it'll be?
Ragnarok 2?
Guardians 3?
Or, Eternals?

I'm going with that last one.

Taika delivered bigly on Ragnarok. It's not clear there will be a Ragnarok 2, Eternals as a film property would be a gamble, and Guardians is a gold mine that's going untapped. Also, Waititi's humorous take on Thor should translate very well to Guardians.

Long story, but in the comics, she's another Captain Marvel with different powers, and lately her hero name has been changed to Photon.
So, her having that nickname on her plane is a little wink and a nod.

The Skrulls look like Skrulls. Captain Marvel looks like Captain Marvel.

Damn, that's just about perfect.

Technically her name is supposed to be Monica Rambeau.

It's 20 years in the past, Monica can be her daughter.

Yeah, the skin isn't quite lifelike looking, but it's not so far off that it throws you into "Uncanny Valley" territory. Give it about 5 years and it'll probably be impossible to tell if someone's been software de-aged or not.

I just noticed, Ronan has the Star Corps uniform colors on, and that black bald dude with the two swords is the very first villain dude that shows up in the first Guardians.
Y'know, the one that doesn't know Starlord's name cuz he's not as famous as he thinks he is.
So, both of those guys started good, and turned bad.

The "bald black dude" is Djimon Hounsou of Gladiator fame FWIW.
