Obama and Patrick were quite close back in 2008, and they openly shared ideas and elements of speeches. Edwards is a fellow Democrat. Its' a whole other thing for team Trump to plagiarise the words of an individual they claim to be diametrically opposed to. Churchill wasn't ripping of Hitler in his speeches.
Well, the attempts of several Trump and GOP staffers to lie in the face of public evidence in an attempt to cover it up makes it a bit more, IMO. They are literally betting their audience will ignore what they see in front of their own eyes.
We had a Trump-like presidential candidate over here (got all of one percent in the election but everybody knows him). Rich old geezer, reality TV, very young wife. Of course some rag asked about Viagra. After all, he's 60 years older than her. The answer, on TV? "Since I have two healthy hands and a working mouth, we don't need Viagra" Populists and their bought trophy wives.
I forget, what role in government does the First Lady have? As far as I know it is limited to "Just say 'no'." or having a mopey photo with a "Let them go" card. Meanwhile, on the Vice Presidential front... http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/history_lesson/2008/08/the_write_stuff.html This is why you've got Trump. Shitty, partisan journalism. Congratulations liberals. If Trump is elected in 2016, it is because of you (and the TV news). Well, and the Democratic party. Because they're running a psychopathic felon as their candidate.
The entire Trump movement is based on blatant lies, which are accepted by supporters because they feel true according to their skewed perception. Tuesday night's speeches featured a baseless assertion about the yearly number of illegal border crossings, and a serious claim that Hillary Clinton is in league with Lucifer to destroy America. The lies about Mrs. Trump's speech don't even register.
Well, yes. To my mind -- but I agree that I am being naive -- there is still another degree of difference between false claims that need research to be disproved (such as the actual number of border crossings), and the people in interviews yesterday that were confronted with video and transcripts of Melania saying one thing, verbatim, and Michelle saying the same thing, verbatim, and then directly claiming that those quotes weren't identical verbatim. They are basically pointing at a phrase, say, "the limits of our dreams", that is written on the screen and that everyone has just heard on video, and claiming, "it doesn't say 'the limits of our dreams' here". I find that especially hard to swallow.
Packard, you are only just now discovering how fully brain damaged a certain segment of our electorate can be. Unfortunately, I've suffered knowing about this for decades. People don't care about the truth, only raw emotion.
My god. Hillary has told enough lies to sentence her to about 15,000 years in federal prison, and you fuckwits are talking about Melania's speech? In a just world, Hillary would be hung by the neck until dead for what she did during any three or four year period of her life. She makes Erdogan look like a pussy when it comes to corruption. She makes Imelda Marcos look like someone who should have a shoe show on HGTV.
There are some very good medications for your problem. You can even get free samples from your doctor. Look into that.
I don't think they are betting anymore. Trump supporters are deliberately ignorant of facts, and that means they are not going to change. Being purposefully ignorant of reality does involve the acceptance of the truth to deny it so consistently. A stupid person would statistically have a possibility of being correct. That possibility is not there with trump supporters and most of the gop at this point.
Turns out Michelle's 08 speech was stolen from Elizabeth Dole's 1996 San Diego Speech. So Melania was just stealing it back.
or this. A Trump aide has taken responsibility for the controversy over Melania Trump’s speech, saying she offered to resign but Trump rejected it. In a statement released by the Trump campaign, in-house staff writer (and ghostwriter of multiple of Donald Trump's books) Meredith McIver said it “was my mistake.”
I find it very odd the man who tried to make the phrase "you're fired" his own personal property has not fired the writer responsible for all of this. It just seems like he avoided doing his thing, and I wonder why.
Because it was an innocent mistake. Trump is very loyal to his people as long as they're making an honest effort. Recall that he refused to fire one of his campaign people who was wrongly accused of assaulting a "journalist" for Breitbart. Unlike Obama, he doesn't just throw people under the bus if they become inconvenient. Also unlike Obama, he does fire people for failure.
I don't really care about this. Either it was a mistake/shortcut by a speech-writer, or it was publicity-bait, neither of which is interesting or would be surprising coming from Trump.
You know with how you always lie and slurp his ass you should really consider getting a job with him and being paid for being a clown instead of doing such a good job for free. Or are you one of those people who is a clown for the love of being the laughing stock?
It is either this or discussing Charles in charge as the best talent the gop can get to go to the convention. Macarena trump is much easier on the eyes than choochi, plus plagiarism is much more pleasant to discuss than wall building, making Muslim death camps, decorating the wall with dead black kids and homosexuals, and killing tg people in the bathroom bills. We could discuss how the gop is going to make clothing women illegal while banning pornography.
Defensive? More like giving the finger to the media and ignoring them. No one is being fired. Only dumb leftists in the media, like MSNBC, care. No one else does.
Actually Roger ailes is getting the boot. I am pretty sure he did not work for MSNBC or the left. But then again honesty and facts mean nothing after the GOP Kool aid turns your brain as squishy and flat as gliar.
What the fuck does Roger Ailes and his sexual harrassrment suit have to do with Trump and the speech? You should not talk about brains unless you've got a working one.
