I mistyped. That line should read. “I just don’t think you or 14th doctor aren’t going to live up to your fantasy in the first picture.”
The fantasy being “punching a nazi”. The reality would be the second pic of a little guy say “stop that” and the big guy saying “no” and the little guy tucking his tail between his legs and walking away.

That you continue to question the pic is just you being stupid. It’s not that difficult a concept to grasp.

I doubt anyone - including UA - would have opposed punching that guy. But, instead of trying to explain further, you just wanted to argue just to argue. Yes, he has done the same. But, two wrongs don’t make right. You are just as bad as you are claiming UA is.

That seems reasonable. But I keep hearing from people something along the lines of "Nazis are infamous for murdering people and committing genocide, therefore if you are a Nazi, your mere presence constitutes an imminent threat and I am justified in using force in self defense" unless I'm misunderstanding.

To establish probable cause, I have to first positively identify the offender. I have no idea who you're talking about. I see no posts from a person of that name on this board.

That reminds me of when we had just recently moved here from Memphis. We'd heard about this hidden gem greasy spoon, and tried it out and it was great. It became one of our favorites. But there was something weird about it that I couldn't put my finger on. It may have been that it had an actual radio station in the restaurant its self, which was weird, but there was something else.

After we'd been there several times, I saw a bunch of skin heads walk in and nobody batted an eye. My threat level kicked up a little as I started scanning around for any POC...that's when it hit me. There weren't any. There never had been. Not once. Not the patrons and not the employees. Ever. It was like zombie Roddy Piper dropped some of those sun glasses on me. We played it cool, payed our bill, left, and have never been back. I probably should have noticed it earlier, but the burgers were soooo good.

Friend made us avoid a pub at university in a reverse of this, since we found out it was the local gay bar. They had free pool tables.

For some reason, this reminded me of something.

I forget which movie it is, but I remember a scene where this wimpy guy is in a parking lot with the girl he's dating, and they're accosted by a belligerent Burt Reynolds, who demeans the guy and insults him. The wimpy dude then proceeds to kick Burt's ass, and the girl is duly impressed. It's revealed shortly thereafter that the guy and Burt had staged the whole thing.

For reference, should I ever find myself transported back in time (paradoxes ignored) on what date does it become acceptable for someone to punch a Nazi, and on what date does it become unacceptable?

For the purposes of this discussion, time doesn’t matter. It just matters at what point did you find out s/he was a nazi and what actions s/he took that were unaccceptable.

As far as when the violence becomes acceptable, it wouldn't from the standpoint of people in that time. If you did murder young Hitler, the Austrian government would hang you as a child murderer.

These scenarios aren't very useful in guiding us in real life. Time travel allows us to have a vicarious certainty about the future that we could never have in the real present.

Yes, that's why decent people have had such a problem with Nazis historically. Because they "offended" people. That's the main reason. I remember reading The Diary of Anne Frank and being so offended at the end when the Nazis didn't respect her pronouns.
