The previous suit and this new one look like someone actually consulted someone with expertise in designing such things for real applications. I like it.
Because he wears his tighties on the OUTSIDE! Impossible to make a flesh and blood human look intimidating in the comic outfit. I love the Bat as much as anyone but it. just. is.
Superman's red is the wrong color, Batman's suit isn't form fitting enough, Hugh Jackman should be in yellow spandex.... Come on Drake, is there something you want to share?
I know you're only oke:-ing at me 'Flow, but my point is this: If you want to make a super-hero, or comic book hero movie, then make one. If you're embarassed by the source material, leave it to someone who isn't.
Somethings look great in comics and the eventual imagination from the visuals, like Galactus for example. But if translated to the screen, where more realism is needed, they look utterly ridiculous.
the source material changes though. regardless of which incarnation of the batman you use, someone will whine about it - are we really wanting to see ace the bathound or bat-mite? do the audiences?
The cape in the BB suit looked pretty bad. Hopefully this one will be better. As for the rest of the suit, it seems fine by me.
Hong Kong always looks great on film, especially at night with all the lights. Perhaps Gotham City has a Chinatown?
It could either be Bruce following up on Ras' boys, or a training flash-back, or hell, some good old-fashioned globe-trotting caped-crusader action, like Grant Morrison is doing in Batman these days.
