New Batman Suit for The Dark Knight

I prefer the cowel as I didn't like the one from Batman Begins, although the best cowel for me was Keaton's in Batman Returns. But, I think there's waaaay too much going on throighout the body suit, which more like robot armour than the Dark Knight's get up!

 

Not sure the red X fits in with the old batman style

But with Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan, the movie will probably rock anyway.

Not pretty, but it's not supposed to be. That's a big part of what I liked about Batman Begins. All of the equipment was designed for function first, appearance second.

I wouldn't mind betting Warners is asking for it to be removed.

Looks like armor. It's ok I guess, just not what I am used to in a Bat suit.

 

It could be much, much worse....

 

What part of Batman Begins did you miss?

 

Wow. That looks like shit.

Too "Robocop" for me.

 

Yep. Not bad for "Iron Man". But over-the-top for Batman. I like the line of the cowl, but the armor look is just too much.

It's body armour, it's not like it's easy to make a uber formfitting armoured suit in a cave so he uses off the shelf parts.

 

i like it, appropriate for the dark "knight".

 

I't getting too far from the Batman look if you ask me. And is it sort of brownish? Keaton remains the very best of the Bats.

 

Looks fine to me.

 

I can't wait for Bats to use the hand cannon that ejects out of his thigh or the data spike that doubles as a stiletto.

 

I'm hoping that this is still a work in progress, and that the suit will be more streamlined and fabric-ish in the movie.

 

Tsk, once this movie kicks your ass, you're all gonna forget you whined about the suit.

 

Doesn't grossly offend me. Lit properly, it may look terrific.

Given the great job the filmmakers did with Batman Begins, I think I'll check out the film before I start raking on it.

 

Why is getting Batman's costume right so hard?

 

A better question, why does the type of skin tight costume a man wears the thing that ruins the movie for you?

 

because this incarnation of batman is going for more realism.

when they try to stick to the comics more colourful and fantasy elements, people whinge about it, and when they try to make it more realistic, people whinge

 

Batman would need Matrix-karate to parade around in spandex, and never catch a bullet.
Needing armor is more realistic.

 

Meh, I'll wait for the Video 2000 to hit my local library.
