My thoughts exactly. The sharks are in there at night, head-butting that glass when nobody is around, causing microfractures that one day are gonna give...

I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be in such a place. I'd be seeing Jaws 3 play through my head the whole time.

But fortunately, such food does not require traveling half way around the world.

    Only $170 a person?

I've paid more than that in the states for less of an experience.

$170 is more than my grocery bill every month.

You've probably paid too much. The best restaurants in the U.S. run typically $125 to $150 per person for the food. Now drinks will run that up further, but I don't think drinks are included in the $170 figure, so yeah, this is a bit on the expensive end, IMO.

It depends on where you want to eat. There's a restaurant in Washington, the first five-star restaurant in the US, where the price is $150 a plate.

It's a nice treat sometimes, but certainly not something to do on an everyday basis.

I bet they don't serve fried porkchops, turnip greens, pinto beans with a slice of onion, and cornbread. :bailey:

well, no, and no offense, but those items are not either hard to come by OR difficult to make.

It may not be to everyone's taste, but stuff in those restaurants are distinctly high-quality. Just watch Iron Chef to see how hard some of it is to make.

I'm betting it's balls of ground fish.

    Sounds yummy :)

Although eating animal testicles is not nearly as bad as one might imagine...
