I've been away most of the time for a week now, and I realize that no one really cares about me. I saw this post from Storm: I didn't make the list. I'm as bad as Order2Chaos. No one wants to see my starfish. I suppose it's because I'm too old and just not all that attractive any more. But to try to come up with something that will interest you, I managed to procure a "starfish" picture of my daughter. I will spoiler it, so those of you who are not into that sort of thing don't have to see it. She's legal, but it's still the kind of picture that shouldn't be displayed just anywhere. Nope. Madagascar. Well, sometimes. She wasn't such a "hottie" when this picture was taken, after a night in the airplane and a day in the "bush-taxi" (a sort of mini-van in which you spend hours and hours cramped up with a bunch of other people to get from one city to another in Madagascar), right when she arrived at the orphanage in Fianarantsoa: But she looked better a couple of days later after she got the chance to clean up, change clothes, get her hair done nicely, and so on: How available? I suppose it depends to a certain extent on the young man in the first picture, among others. How wealthy is our family? Just keep in mind that, no matter how much we have here in Europe, she is much more interested in working with orphans and other poor kids in Madagascar than in staying in Europe: How well do you speak Malagasy... son?
Oh the places you'll go and the things you'll do... Nice starfish. Lovely daughter. You must be very proud of her chosen path.
At least I know what a "Starfish" is now. Other than the usual meaning. Learn something every day. You should be very proud of your daughter, Async. But I'm sure that you are. Not every child is as unselfish.
He is an excellent guy. But for now, I'm not sure if he's her "boyfriend" or what. I must say, though, that if things go ahead with the two of them, I wouldn't mind at all. He's really great, and on top of that, they're both scout leaders!
A really great kid. If I'm not mistaken, she was away when you visited us so you didn't get to meet her. I don't know what she'll do with her life, but if it's anything like what she hopes to do, her life will have been really worthwhile. Our son, too, has some plans along the same lines, though nothing specific at the moment. It would be interesting if they both ended up in Madagascar, though. It would give me a good excuse to go there even more often.
