If you want to confine the conversation to what Jesus said and did, (according to the canonical gospels anyway) then I'll accept that he was an agreeable figure, way ahead of his time. For the most part.
But we both know that the teachings of Christianity are not based solely on what Jesus said. They do derive from the OT. They also derive from the teachings of Paul and other latecomers, and much of that stuff is as disgusting as anything humanity has ever come up with, including in Islam.

There are quacks in every religion who twist and warp the teachings for violence. The twisting is not necessary (or minimally) so in Islam vs the major pretzeling needed to shoehorn violence into Christianity.
