Jesus Kyle, you need some serious fucking hair style advice. Even Dan's ponytail was more stylish than that.......at least at the derby anyhow.

His hair looks fine to me. And I think he looks very smart and respectable.

I know you're a super-stylish fashion guru, but I just wish you'd think before posting your scathing critique and making yourself sound like an arse.

A deer finally moved out into the light on my neighbor's lawn. I've been trying to get a good shot with my new telephoto, but the damn things keep hiding in the trees where it's dark.

Serendipity: I was playing around seeing how well I could see an airliner at full zoom, when out of nowhere a balloon floated into the shot!

I missed having the moon in the shot too by only a few degrees.

Yeah, the closer I look at the darn things, the less attractive I find them. In profile their faces look, I dunno, like an ugly mule.

It's kinda weird, but I used to have a neighbor who bow-hunted, and had a foam deer in the back yard that he used to shoot from his back deck for practice. It wasn't until about a year after he moved away that actual deer started showing up in the neighborhood. I know he wasn't scaring them away because they only came here when developers started building houses on the mountain across the river. Just a coincidence. But I don't think it's quite legal to shoot deer in your own yard anyway.

    :(

It's better than what I had.

Anyway, though I know it won't meet up to Chup's high expectations, here's me being emo and needing a haircut:

I'm using the full auto mode. I'll have to give it a try on shutter-priority and see what happens.

Okay, 1/300 at ISO400 with the lens wide open at F5.6 shooting in a grove of trees gives me ....

    Dead black.
