Some more pics from yesterday.

There was a District Shura. Last one they had back in May had less than 40 Elders show up. Yesterday we had over 300. This is a pretty big deal as building up local governance and connecting it to the Central Government (through the District and then Provincial Levels) is one of our main focuses. At the entrance one of the intel guys was talking to people as they came in. One of the questions was 'how did you hear about the Shura' again and again the answer was "Radio" "Radio" "Radio." According to him only three people out of around 90 he talked to said something different. That'd be MY RADIO STATION! Not gonna lie, that was a moral booster. Good to know I'm just not just sitting around sweating my ass off collecting a paycheck but actually doing something to make shit better.

Well, if you come visit me in Sweden I can certainly introduce you to lots of girls like her.

We can do an experiment, though!

I will do another shoot with her and a male friend of mine, pair situation, some time the next week or possibly the one after that. You can ask me for a pose. Please be specific, and try to use both people for a creative composition (if you really can't think of a pair picture, you can use only the girl.) The man to be portrayed is about 2-3 inches taller, thin, short-haired and blond. Describe the picture in detail. I will then use that as an instruction to take a shot and post it.

I often ask this exact question to my friends in order to get inspiration for a shoot; it might be fun to try it in this thread.

Then its settled, I'm coming to sweden. I shoot nature, derelict homes and structures, and Naval ships/tanks/aircraft. I wouldn't know how to pose a human!

Female standing behind and slightly to the side of male. One hand is around his neck from behind, the other at the side of his head turning his face toward hers. (Call it the, "Pay attention" pose.)

And to keep it fair, here's another:

Same standing positions, but with male facing toward female at a 45 degree angle. His left hand in her hair at the back of her head, she looking up at him, his right index finger pointed toward her chin. (Call it the "Master's Lecture" pose.)

(Irony time: Although I have absolutely no skill in regards to visual arts, I am very, very good at conceptualizing and describing visual art.)

Okay, apparently, my couch has been annexed by the Cat Republic.

First one, he was staring at the display while I was working. Did it for like an hour.

Later, in the second one, he fell asleep with his claws in the couch.

Life is all about finding different places to sleep.

You see, it's like this: What I have is a tiny, weak, sickly little guy who was neglected and rejected by his original people. He stands no chance on his own. I look at him and I see someone who needs protecting and caring-for, so that's what I do.
