I guess I had figured you'd wear uniforms at that school? Obvisouly, I'm wrong.

It is the seminar program. No doubt the resident school wears uniforms, but the people who take it weekly at night or monthly on weekends wear civilian attire.

Oh, at the risk of derailing the thread, this was a planning exercise for the Marine aspect of a major joint task force--think Iraq level, just not Iraq. And they really tee it up for you. They tell you a couple key things and then, based on your mission, terrain, and troops available, there's really only one good course of action (COA) available. And that is provided. But for the course you have to come up with an alternate COA. Amazingly, one of the guys (not in this picture, probably standing at a whiteboard to the right) came up with a pretty good one. We all pretty quickly came behind and improved his plan. At one point he announced "I know they say you're not supposed to get married to your plan, and I'm not. But I'm fucking it pretty hard right now."
