A suburban landlord secretly videotaped 34 tenants over two decades after hiding cameras in their apartments.

What makes me laugh is how this guy had to explain to the Radio shack guy what he wanted to do!

It's a lot more common than people think. If I didn't have to turn such things over to the police when I find them, I'd have accumualted nearly $15,000 in video and audio surveillance gear from people's apartments.

It's a side line from my days in private security. Every so often, I'll get a call from people I know asking me to go check out a home or an apartment for cameras and recording gear. Cameras are easy... I've got a gadget called a Cat's Eye that is VERY effective for finding concealed video cameras.

I'm thinking of all the shit that's gone down in all of my apartments. If someone had that on tape....I think I might want a copy.

I wasn't impressed enough by the movie to seek out the book.

It uses light and the optical properties of video cameras to give a visual indication of where the camera is.
