I have met androgenous people or people who do not want to be confined to a single gender. So as we have gender defining pronouns I am for one that indicates something else. I find them more appealing than they/them because they/them does not always work as a singular. Ii am not saying make up a million different ones, but one for someone who is nonstandard he/she falls in line with what we have in the english language without being dehumanizing like it. I get your point, but the way we pronounce it is somewhat in the middle without being like other words, and the X does sort of indicate non or different. Linguistically I am with that one for english. BTW silly sounding is something you could get used to. People around me feel silly calling me princess until they see everyone doing it then it becomes a thing, and they don't feel so strange about it. Pretty soon they are telling others to do the same, and then everyone is good with it.
OMG somehow the truth infiltrated fox news? I do not think they have ever had something so true on their network.
You know what'd be even easier and cheaper? Single round to the back of the head of every billionaire out there. Bezos' carbon footprint is something like nearly 200 times as large as the average American. Taking him out would do a lot to prevent further ecological damage, especially as more and more billionaires realized that they were next on the list to get whacked.
Put down the AK, Pol. There are 614 billionaires in the US. If every one of them had 200x the average carbon footprint, that’s 1.989 million tons on CO2/year. Coal plants emit ~930g/kWh. Wind turbines, ~15g/kWh. So it’d take making them pay for around 660 wind turbines one year to offset their carbon emissions for the lifetimes of those plants, which is about 1/6 of the number of wind turbines built each year, or about $1.88 billion/billionaire over 25 year average turbine lifetime, or about $75 million/year/billionaire. And that’s on the high end. Any remotely reasonable carbon footprint estimate (assuming a relatively straightforward relationship between wealth and carbon footprint) puts the cost to each billionaire much less than any seriously considered (read: Sanders or Warren) wealth tax. But sure, a wealth tax is going to be easier than a carbon tax.
Now figure out how many billionaires make their money from fossil fuels and how much they spend blocking green alternatives.
In every leftist reside a little dictator just waiting for an opportunity to shine. Keyboard Comando.
I hate it how leftists steered us away from coal and horse powered vehicles. Stupid Obama taking away my horse and buggy because he was a dictator.
Says the guy who backs a political party that would be more than happy to hand over all rights to corporations.
This doesn't even make sense. Who is the US supposed to be trading with? Who is on the right and who is on the left? I get what they are trying to say, but this is just another example of Conservatives having no idea how to create memes. And, another example of Garak being stupid for reposting such stupidity.
When there's a dragon sitting on a massive pile of gold while the nearby townspeople are starving, what do... Oh, who am I kidding? You'd gladly add your own gold to the pile and pray for the dragon to start creating jobs.
