You obviously don't recall worth a shit. The thread was a derivitive thread and meant as a joke. Storm was, amazingly, not offended. And neither was anyone else. Imagine that.

Two questions:

Not at all. The issue is minors being exposed to inappropriate sexual content. Elwood made that content easily available to any minor who happened to chance along for well over a year, probably closer to two years. If a thread title that uses the word "deflowering" is offensive enough to create a controversy, the White Room's existence should have created a shit storm unlike any ever seen.

I pointed out Wordforge's potential liability here a long time ago. I don't think there's much issue with Forgers actually complaining to cause trouble - however, if TKO's mother ever read some of the stuff here.... That's the thing about being a minor. If your folks decide to raise hell, you don't have any legal ability to do anything about it.

OK. I'm glad someone started this thread to save me from having to do it. A couple points:

1) I haven't read past the first page, so I'm not sure where this will go.
2) It is ironic that I'm being accused of being creepy to TKO, because if you will look at my posts I'm about the only poster here who DOESN'T actively hit on her. And the thread in question has nothing to do with hitting on TKO. It was about her making negreps (after saying when she joined that she wouldn't ever do that). See, that is what made the thread title actually work and be funny--that people would go "Oh, Geez, someone's being creepy and hitting on TKO" and the post doesn't have anything to do with anything sexual.
3) A quick story:

Back when Shakes was still a relative n00b, I made a post that made her uncomfortable. So she PM'ed me and told me so. You know what happened? I deleted the post. Not only did I delete the post, I tracked down anyone who had quoted me, PM'ed them, and got them to delete my quote out of THEIR posts. Anyone care to guess how many PMs I've gotten today? I'll give you a hint: It's less than one.

Now, I can't particularly blame TKO for not having the sense to handle this like an adult. She ISN'T an adult. Now Neroon, on the other hand... At least theoretically he should've had the common sense to handle this with a little more tact. Which brings me to

4) Is Listkeeper an evil fascist thug or just an incompetent boob with absolutely no social skills? I suspect it's a bit from column A and a bit from column B. He's likely an incompetent boob with fascist tendencies.

5) Not that he's entirely to blame either. With the handling of the GoldenEye ban, Elwood has acted with incredibly poor judgment. This is right up there with the permaban for any warning scheme he cooked up in an effort to get Face. More on that elsewhere. For now, the point is that it makes perfect sense for the Listkeeper to act in an ill-conceived, fascist manner. The boss has demonstrated that this sort of behavior is appropriate. Listkeeper is just imitating what he's seeing from above.

What I know about you is what you've posted.

You've defended crude, unwanted sexual innuendos on the altar of supposed double-standards. Everyone should be allowed to harass whomever they please, essentially.

I wasn't disrespecting you. I was disrepecting the moderation of this site. And you can be damn sure many people have complained before today, and many more will complain in the days ahead.

You know, making fun of a disability should probably be considered out of bounds too. I guess Tasvir was a big enough asshole that no one gave a shit about the one arm jokes. It's a shame our morality is only applied on the favored.

I really, really, REALLY didn't mean to make a big deal out of this! I thought changing the title would make me feel okay, and I had no idea where to even start with the PM, and the next thing I know I've got parody threads saying bad things about women or me or this whole damn thing going all over the place and I'm crying and I just want this to stop!!!!!!!!!!!

And the fact that the big boys are doing those threads show just how much maturity they really don't have.
