I just don’t understand why you would post an eleven minute video where he talks about Star Wars and says nothing other than, “yeah I’m still working on it.” It just seems like you’re posting shit just to post shit, which seems like most of your posts.

Most people post shit that we think others might find interesting, especially if it’s movie or tv related. If you’re going to post a video about Waititi doing Star Wars, something I’m very much interested in, maybe wait until there’s actually something to discuss. The Last Jedi was on tv last night so I gave it another watch and you know, I have to say, it's still pretty terrible

I also had a new thought - introducing the ability to track vessels through hyperspace was a bad idea

The only thing I like in that movie is the lightsaber duel with Rey and Kylo and they finally fixed Yoda.

Luke's last scene was pretty cool although I still think they did Luke dirty overall

If we hadn't gotten him kicking ass in The Mandalorian then I'd probably be more agitated

Well, it's been there since ANH, or how else did Vader's ruse with the tracker on the Falcon work?

I then must counter with why didn't Vader go after the Falcon when it went to hyperspace at the end of Empire Strikes Back ?

I would also say that Vader was tracking the tracker because it was placed on board and emitting a signal, not tracking the Falcon

Also in the Last Jedi Leia figures it out and says "they're tracking us through hyperspace" and everyone is like "oh shit, what the fuck!"

Two different technologies.

The tracking device that Vader put on the Falcon is really only a threat if you don't know it's there and can't find or jam it. (My way around one of the bigger plot holes in ANH -- Han grabbing the Idiot Ball for long enough to insist that the Falcon can't be tracked -- is to assume that he has a jamming field installed that's supposed to defeat any homing beacon, and the Empire used a brand-new kind of beacon that was able to defeat his jamming.)

It's like the difference between being tracked by the police because they hid a radio transmitter in your car, and being tracked by the police because you're fleeing them through an urban area that has cameras all over the place, and also they have some kind of special search dog that can smell your specific car's exhaust.

That said, I have no idea why the First Order couldn't just do a quick hyperspace hop to catch up with them.

Because they're evil and arrogant and cruel, duh.

They started doing him dirty in TFA when they had him run away from a fight, away from helping his friends no matter the personal cost. TLJ just took TFA at its word that something really terrible had to have happened to break Luke.

I gotta say that this minor change to the OT makes a couple of kisses a lot more interesting.

OK, I know that's Mark Hamill's face made feminine, but something about her looks more familiar than that in a way I can't put my finger on.

I'd have to run it down (and I ain't gonna), but there's a Hot Young Thang from the mid-00s or mid-teens who resembles that image. Not a big up-and-comer, but somebody who was part of an ensemble cast (maybe the Harry Potter movies) who is really close.
