Job: Network Operation Center Analyst Company: n/a relationship with the boss - varies, because my boss varies. Currently its about a 3, last guy was a 9. But I've had 15 bosses in 10 years, so it doesn't much matter. Wait a minute, there will be another one. relationship with co-workers - 9. Lots of good guys and gals, some friends I've known for 20 years. work environment - 7. job resources - 9. Company laptop, Iphone, rarely need anything we don't have. growth opportunities - 3. Of course, changing direct report every 6-9 months makes that damn near impossible. Always have to start over with the new guy. Layoffs are a biannual thing. Company Culture - 10. Lots of parties, ping pong and foosball in my area, free drinks, difficult to get fired (though occasionally that's a minus for people that really need to be let go). 5 weeks vacation, best day care for my kid I've ever seen. They do a great job here. Compensation - 8. For what I do, I'm very well compensated. Company Reputation - 3. Daily Tasks - 6. Control over Work - at the moment 4. In the past its been as high as 8 or 9. Got a boss who is Dr. No. 59/100. However, just 6 months ago it was 70. Not great, but acceptable. A lot of it is that I've got a boss that is bad at his job and seems intent on stifling others. If that doesn't change soon, I'll be out the door.

I agree with this. I'm not sure how much of a relationship there is between "my company has a good reputation" and "I am satisfied with my job." Personally, I work for [-]North American Cocaine and Prostitute Importers[/-] a company that is not all that well appreciated (other than by our customers, of course...) but as long as I enjoy my job, what does it matter what [-]the police[/-] other people think of us?
