    Job: Administration/Training Officer
    Company: Small Municipal Police Department

    1-10

Relationship with the boss: 5 (The Chief is an idiot and a micro-manager. He got the job by stabbing people in the back, so he micro-manages everything to keep the same from being done to him.)

And co-workers: 7 (Most of them are good people, but we have our fair share of douches.)

Work environment: 8 (A nice new building and newerish car that doesn't leak carbon monoxide into the cabin like my old one.)

Job resources: 8 (I have all of the tools I need, even if I had to buy a lot of them with my own money.)

Compensation: 1 (HA! There's a reason the Legislature passed a law setting the minimum pay for a Peace Officer at $8.75 per hour.)

Growth opportunities: 3 (I have to wait on someone to retire, quit, die, or get fired.)

Company culture: 5 (The Chief's style breeds a lot of mistrust and cliquish behavior.)

Company reputation: 1 (We have a lower than average number of fights and injuries in the field because we've worked long and hard to establish a reputation of kicking asses if you do something stupid.)

Daily tasks: 6 (I stay busy.)

Control over the work one does on a daily basis: 1 (That's wholly up to the citizenry)

    Cool thread idea.

    Job: Engineering Consultant
Company: I work for a lot of different companies. Vestas for one. The others I won't mention.
relationship with the boss: I am the boss. Otherwise a 10. The other 'bosses' would be the various project managers for various engineering projects around the world.
and co-workers: 6 (usually they're pretty good. Good people, but there are often political issues that cause problems when I'm hired on as a consultant.
work environment: 2 (personally I love my work environment. The world is my playground is the best way to explain it. Most people would hate it considering how physical it is, and how much I have to travel, sleep in hotels, etc, etc. With time I'll move on and accept the long-standing offer from one of the companies I do work for to come on full time, but I enjoy what I do now.
job resources: 10 (usually I get whatever I need to finish what I was brought in to do).
compensation: 0 (I work by the hour/day/month only. No compensation involved. I do make enough money to cover anything I need/want though.
growth opportunities: 10 (the only reason you get consulting jobs at companies like Vestas is because you're good at what you do. And if you're good at what you do, you're often asked to come on full-time)
    company culture: 10
company reputation: 10 (my own company. My work speaks for itself)
    daily tasks: 10
control over the work one does on a daily basis: 0 (what I do is entirely up to what I'm brought in to do. If that means getting on a private jet to Denmark for a engineering meeting, and then off to Australia for to meet with a project manager, and then back to Alberta to help finalize a major wind-farm development, and then off to North Dakota to help with some oil work....my work entirely depends on my project scheduler.)

    = 68. I would peg it around 90. Love what I do.
