Cashed in some of my used games and picked this one up yesterday... This game is so fun that I'm thinking of giving GTA IV another shot. I've killed two bandits so far and skinned some animals and lost all my money in a poker game. I'm hooked!

I really ought to dig into GTA IV again. I doubt I was even 1/4 of the way through before my existence was consumed by STO.

Hey apostle, I'd like to actually capture my next bounty and collect the reward money, but these guys don't seem likely to allow me to hog tie them. Any pointers?

    Sure.

You kill all their friends, and then you ride up really fast on them, lasso them, and then hog tie them. :)

OK.. I just completed Act One, the Assault on Fort Mercer. I've been playing for a total of 15 hours now. I have to say that I haven't been this immersed in a game since Fallout 3. There is just so much to do and so many different ways to play this game. You can live a life in this thing!!

This game is almost exactly like Fallout 3, but I think I give Red Dead Redemption an edge due to the graphics and storyline. I thought God of War III was a shoe-in for Game of the Year, but Red Dead Redemption is giving me some doubts now. There are some contenders for the title in 2010.

I sold this one back some months ago after getting frustrated with connectivity issues on the PSN. I just picked up a used copy really cheap on craiglists. I think I'll give the Undead Nightmare DLC pack a go. The people at Rockstar were very helpful in resolving my connectivity issues, but I got frustrated half way through and gave up. It's worth a shot to get me connected now.

I was up til 2 AM playing this last night. I don't know what it is about Zombies that makes everything so much more awesome, but whatever it is, it's at work here. I found myself continuously saying "OK, I'll just cleanse one more town of the zombie invasion and I'm going to bed... OK... just one more graveyard and off to sleep!"

    I'd recommend this to anyone.

I just beat the game last night, finally. I had been a mere one mission away for... months.

Not sure if I'll pick up the Zombie mode - what does it involve?

Hordes of the undead attempting to feast on your brains!! You go around from city to city and graveyards in the RDR world and clear them of Zombie infestation. It's pretty intense and very fun. You start out with very little ammo and this really helps to increase the tension early on. There is a pretty good story to it as well, so far, involving a lot of the characters and strangers you encountered during the single player missions. It adds about 8-12 hours to the game, all of which blows the Mexico stuff out of the water. IMHO.

Not yet... but I'm having a hell of a time so far.
