1. Ban: gul, faisent, Markb, all TKers that stir the pot in the HD. Kill them, let God sort them out. Warning via PM to Storm in no uncertain terms. He usually understands those.
2. Disclose: immediate full Shelter thread release with only critical PM information removed. Name the shitstirrers. No damn DNR, no god damn editing.
3. Explain: sticky RR thread by Elwood why this was necessary. No more secrecy.This is a message board fer chrissakes, not the NSA.Can't say, won't say - come on, put them up for public spanking.

Yes, I think it's high time for such action. It can't be that a bunch of trolls gets to control the board and attack the board owner on a personal level that's far beyond the Internet. I think this has gone on for long enough, even given the bait that was dangled in front of them in form of the badly handled CM/GE drama. They already brought down Listkeeper - which simply cannot happen, no matter what I personally think of his moderating style.

There are three probable outcomes:

- Things calm down after a few aftershocks because the rallying by a few ends. They riot on TK for some time, then quietly ask to come back. So what.
- The banned open their own board and fail miserably. And I'm talking real-efcl.net level failure.
- Baba writes a post without a spelling error

There is also the small chance that the board as a whole revolts and, thru some heavenly miracle, manages to create a new one. This is rather unlikely given the facts would be known and the perps identified for all to see. Also, people tend to stay where they are comfortable.

I'll repeat my offer to Elwood here in public: willing to help and take the flak. After wading thru all the BS I'd actually like coming back for a short gig and leave some scorched earth

Here's my take, Elwood: I think you need to go a little more proactive. You're back to what you did in the beginning, namely hiding when the shit starts flying. Thought you were over it, but right now you're back to hiding behind a bureaucracy and procedures that simply don't exist. Not on WF, not on any board. I can see that RL takes precedence, especially when you are sick and drugged up. But what's stopping you from writing up such a long piece telling 'em why you are doing what you are doing? Or having your co-admins deal with the situation as they see fit when you're out?

Please note that I have no intention of adding even more pressure upon you, but IMHO this is starting to hurt the board and its quality. You might understand that I have to speak up. I'm feeling rather protective when it comes to WF, and if that means looking like I'm sabotaging your efforts I'm sorry.

I've never cared what they think over there. I know MM. I like MM. But, the rest of 'em? Not so much. Outside of two or three links to what DW has been saying, I haven't been over there in months.

I'm assuming, and I could be wrong, that the reason gul is to be banned is because its been proven without a doubt that his main intent here is to cause trouble and divide the staff.

Personally I'd support banning markb and faisent before gul. Markb only shows up when there is a shitstorm in progress, and faisent is a dirty little leaking whore.

His main purpose? Also his intent to try and get The Listkeeper de-modded wasn't exactly secret so it's not like that was a revelation from the message.

1. Because he'll draw out a shitstorm ad infinitum for his own amusement without caring if he hurts people or the board in general. He'll make up crap, spread lies, find loopholes and generally behave like a shitstain who you'd guess is 12 years old and not the father of three.
   
   I have been sure of that since, like, forever, but the PMs prove it. The reason is that he's damaging the board as a whole by that behavior and WF has always defended itself.

Elwood, I suggest registering at TK and posting once. They have (had? haven't been there in a while) a no personal information policy... but only for TK members.

I think banning gul et al. is over the top. We should not ban for what appears to amount to board politics reasons*. The worst we should do is Miserable Users them and set their rep to negative 1 million. Maybe Tachy Goes to Coventry for a while, and disable incoming PM's, if that's possible.

*I say appears because I can't make heads or tails of this situation. If someone would like to give me a concise summary - I kinda get the CM/GE part, just what followed - it'd be appreciated.
