I was worried for a sec the game on Fox was gonna run over and we'd miss the first five. I've already seen it online, and...
I'm watching this one. Because I lust after Lena Heady, mostly, and Summer Glau secondly. Summer even looks good being thrown through a drywall bulkhead.
Well, that was a decent enough premiere. I hadn't seen any spoilers so the ending was pretty frakkin' cool. The odd thing though, was that the FBI guy didn't seem to age either, and he didn't go through the time twister. Small nitpick. Good stuff. I'll probably try to catch part II tomorrow night.
I like what I've seen, though I reserve judgment until they tell a story that isn't wall to wall action. More naked Summer is always good. However, I had to REALLY suspend disbelief that this killing machine from the future is (a) such a bad shot ; and (b) has weapons that can't penetrate a piece of furniture. It'd be nice if we could stage more plausable reasons who he can't make the kill.
I like the part in the school. I figure there will be people upset and protesting about that scene. To me it was one of the coolest of the episode. Missed a key part of it when I got a phone call. What was the reason for going from 1999 to 2007 and who built the time machine inside the bank vault?
Not sure who exactly built the time machine in the vault, but apparently it was done well in the past. The reason for the jump forward was twofold: 1. Give them some breathing room. 2. Allow them to better locate and destroy skynet.
That was a fucking awesome way to get the series going, two quick thoughts: The Rivernator!!!! for writing T3's storyline into nonexistence, Sarah and John fighting with a new Terminator at their side is light years more interesting then that crap from the last movie.
I taped it, and plan on watching it later today when I get home. Last night, I was in more of horses & sixguns sort of mood, so I watched Dodge City.
we need lipstick lesbian on this show. Maybe chick who playss sarah and summer can have a sex scene in a episode.
Well, I liked it. Plotwise, it's already better than T3. But, as my father blurted out before I could, them going from town to town every week, and leaving disaster in their wake smacks of the Incredible Hulk. They're gonna have to go some to keep that from becoming tediously repetitive.
No, I don't think he was. I just think they were too lazy to age him a bit with makeup. He'll be the secret convert who actually prevents Sarah and John from being nabbed by the authorities and going to prison. God knows they're gonna need some inside help from somewhere. I would hope, however, that the FBI guy's conversion from adversary to ally would be something that takes place over time, even though he's got twenty witnesses who saw the 'robot leg' guy try to blast John Connor at school.
I found it hard to accept Summer Glau as a Terminator to be honest... The show has potential though. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.
I liked it more than I thought I would. And not just cause Summer Glau reminds me of an old girlfriend from college I'll tune it tonight, so far it's fun.
I like Summer Glau. As a pilot, it did well, IMO. We will have to see where they go with this. I am guessing a TV show does not have the budget every week to destroy half a town, so the show is going to have to live and die based on the episodes where there is no action, or very little of it.
The bank vault was built in 1963. The terminator said they sent one of their best engineers back to build it and the weapon they built in the vault. Seemed ok for the part I saw. Need to see the other half. Also they went forward in time? I thought they went back in time. Man I guess I really have to watch the whole thing.
For people trying to lay low and keep out of sight, they sure do draw a lot of attention to themselves!
How can you determine that from last night's ep? Although I enjoyed it, it was really a re-hash of Terminator 2-3. At this point, we don't know what the premise of the show is going to be... At least I don't. The time travel element was a real enjoyable twist. It actually addresses a problem I was having with the age of Sarah and John. I'm anticipating tonight's ep!!
I'm like Clyde, I am pretty sure that when they showed him looking at Sarah's file on his PC, the shot faded to his reflection and there was a red point of light, implying he was a T. Perhaps a "good guy" T like Summer, but still.
I thought that was the Terminator they wasted looking into his computer, not the FBI guy, right before he found John at his new school.
