There wasn't really any public support for the RIRA to begin with. But it did provoke an immense backlash against them. Also, this was far from the first case of phone warnings going wrong.
Nashville? To be honest it looks like Sarajevo or Brcko when I was there. Not a good luck that's for sure.
Hey, remember when the Fox News Moron Squad was insisting on calling people like this "homicide bombers"?
Well, considering that no one but the bomber died in this case, homicide bomber is clearly not appropriate.
technically that's right! HOWEVER.....work with me here.....if a gorilla killed itself it wouldn't be homicide per se, because it's not a member of the homo genus. Granted this situation doesn't come up very often.
THIS JUST IN! Man, I hope the Winnebomber isn't going to inspire a copycat. This suspicious vehicle was just sighted!
And certain Christian religions refuse to bury anyone who commits suicide - even a long-term depressive who doesn't take anyone with them - in consecrated ground. Not sure if they still preach this, but the Official Catholic Position was that suicides went to Hell.
Uh, you know that the Atomic Camper was built by a disabled veteran. I don't know what his politics are, but regardless of what they might be, I can't imagine that he'd like the idea of it being a political statement.
no he probably would not. But I posted the picture as a gallows humor sight gag. Quite a few folks have offered similar things in this thread, as I'm sure you have noticed. Interesting history behind the atomic camper though - two thumbs up on the link. Now I want to see the atomic camper up close! Tigerwood interior in some spots? Tigerwood looks incredible in recurve bows, I can just imagine it used in this situation.
Hey, asshole. YOU'RE. NOT. FUNNY. No one on this board thinks you're funny, not even the other Trump bootlickers. When will you get the message?
Not true. I think he's funny, sometimes. But since it is a conditioned reflex for most of the rest of the board to oppose everything he posts, they prevent themselves from seeing it when he actually does post funny things. As a sort of "ballpark estimate", I would guess that I find about one-third of his attempts at humor to be lame but not offensive, about one-third to be offensive, and about one-third to be humorous.
There are times when he's fall down hilarious. Of course, those times never coincide with the times that he thinks he's funny.
His humor is a conditioned reflex. As such it hits about 10% of the time. We are just working on his conditioning in order to improve his score.
Shitbag was worried about "lizard people" amongst other things. Please, go ahead and tell me how folks who give a platform to shitheads talking about lizard people ruling the world aren't doing anything harmful and it's all just entertainment. I'm all fucking ears as to your reasons why it's okay to do that in the wake of a nutbag wiping out a chunk of one of the only remaining historic districts in Nashville.
Um, a crazy person creates their own delusions. I'm more concerned with getting them help before they hurt someone.
And seeks out things to re-enforce those delusions. Which is why one should be careful about platforming delusional content. As @Ancalagon has pointed out in another thread, flat eartherism wasn't really a thing until sites like YouTube began suggesting videos by flat earthers to a lot of folks. If sunlight was the best disinfectant, then Trump never would have been elected President, as during the 2016 campaign, he got more publicity than any other candidate, regardless of party. And much of that publicity was in the Point and Laugh at teh Stoopid variety, yet he managed to win the White House.
What's your feelings about the idea that Congress should refuse to seat those members who refuse to accept the election results of Biden beating Trump? Such a thing has happened in the past. That's a form of censorship. I'm assuming you're okay with the Congress of 1861 doing that. So why not now? And would you really be upset at the idea of Twitter banning Trump? Oh, and what do you think about folks boycotting Joe Rogan (and others of his ilk) who like to have conspiracy theorists on? Is that okay with you? Or do you think that everyone should share their message far and wide because you somehow think that will cause them to lose respectability?
