Should Wordforge have another writing contest?

December 1st is upon us in one day.

So....
Who should we submit to?
When are they due by?

Once we have the basic idea blocked out here I suggest a sticky in The Red Room.

How did we decide the winner last time? Was it just Storm who picked it? It seems everyone who is interested in this happening is also submitting a story.

I thought we all voted.

We're just fleshing this out now. Expect the first announcement any day now.

My shortest story ever was close to 20,000 words. :-(

Well, I thought it was an annual event, but if you want to bug Cassie...

I wouldn't mind helping to set one up if Cass doesn't feel like it.

I'll have a bit more freetime to write something this time around as well.

I have no problem with making another one, but I don't think that it's a good thing to have them only a few months apart. While people will certainly join, we'd probably have a problem with prizes. If anybody knows a solution, we can start at any time. Go cadge

Sci-fi........ick

I'd be down for a sci-fi/fantasy contest.

I have some "Enterprise" stuff I can contribute as prizes (Hey Anna, want an Archer action figure?)

Hrm....I still like the sci-fi idea, but it might be a little too limiting for some people. Perhaps a contest that is sci-fi themed, but other types of stories are gladly accepted.

Or maybe I just want the sci-fi theme because I like sci-fi stories. That, and I get to use my ultracool banner.
