    I chose mine last night....
    Infamous
    Wipeout HD+ Fury

I was leaning toward Dead Nation, but since it was cheaper than the other two I figured I could buy it if I missed out.

Good call on inFAMOUS. Pick of the liter, IMHO. Let me know what you think of it. I enjoyed it a great deal despite the few problems I encountered with collision detection and camera angles. I played the inFAMOUS 2 demo last week and was amazed at how polished it was compared to the first one. I expect my copy of inFAMOUS 2 to arive at my home shortly.

Since I already owned inFAMOUS and LBP, I chose Dead Nation as my first download. It's a top-down Zombie shooter which I'm having a blast with so far. I came closet buying this last summer and was ecstatic when I saw it was a freebie.

I haven't used my second dL yet.

    InFAMOUS and Dead Nation.

Did y'all download your free movie rentals as well?

    Nope, till July 3.

What a bunch of crap that was. Ghostbusters, BadBoys, or the god awful Final Fantasy movie.

    hmmm....

I wonder what would happen if you have a psp and a store username BUT don't have a ps3. If you went out and bought a ps3 today could you fool the system and slide by with two free games?

Cause if so TheBurgerKing could really clean up. Get one of those package deals bundled with two games and then download the free 'welcome back' games. Might be worth considering.

I know I'm dL'ing 2 PSP titles too. I bought one used when God of War: Ghost of Sparta came out and sold it shortly after I finished it. I may be getting a Vita later on, so I might as well.

My advice to BK would be if you have a PSN account on anyone's PS3, dL all four games your entitled to. It you buy a PS3 later on, you can alway re-dL it using your purchase history on the XMB.

My only problem, Infamous is a 7 gig download, that's pretty hefty for my connection.

Start it when you go to bed. Choose the "shut down when dL is finished" option on the XMB, go to bed, go to work the next day, come home and play inFAMOUS!

    Same.

And well pleased with both (Well, the kids are - I haven't played Dead nation yet)

My only complaint re Infamous was not having the bad guys show up on radar...I was getting shot all the time by guys I couldn't find.

But the mechanics of it, and the super-cool "powers" are win.

Just because you aren't now doesn't mean you never will. When they launch the PS4 with a holographic Kim Kardashian giving blow jobs app, you'll regret it.

Thanks for nothing, you fucking LOSERS!!!! :ualbert:

Nobody could spare me the bandwidth of a 2-sentence explanatory post?!? Bastages!!!!!! :finger:

Luckily, I'm a smart cookie and figgured it out all on my lonesome, and now my kids are happy and pleased with me! We got Infamous and another one whose name I don't recall (sounds like a "blast everything" type of game).

Next time maybe you'll keep up with Press Start discussions.

12 hours. It took 12 hours to download and install.

Wipeout is the next most expensive game, so if you're basing it on the best deal...
It also gives the most trophies.

I think Dead Nation would be my next choice under that. It may actually give up a platinum trophy, we'll need Alpha to confirm that though. Pretty rare for a download game.

I just don't see a whole lot of replay value in Super Star Dust, but I've never played it.

I'm not basing it on the best deal because I would never have intended to buy any of those games anyway.

Just curious, what happens if you download a PSP game on the ps3. Will it work? Do you get an error message?

You can download it fine, but if you try to play it, it'll say "You need to download this onto a psp to play it," or something to that extent.

I'm told you can play some psp games on a ps3, but apparently not these ones.

Infamous is a fucking great game. I rented it a long time ago but never beat it, I may end up picking this one as my first freebie.

Is Wipeout HD any good? It reminds me of Aerogauge for the N64.

Also, I forgot that I had a second PSN account. Long ago I registered an EU PSN account to download a game demo that was released in Europe a week before the US. I've been getting e-mails about the welcome back program for both of these accounts. I'm guessing this means I get an extra two free games...? :D

Well I've played about 5 mins of Wipeout now. I can't tell you much. You race around a future era track, green arrows make you go fast, red Xs give you weapons or shields. That's all I know from the one race I ran.

Unlike Alpha who jumps from game to game I go through one game at a time. I've got to finish Burnout Paradise, then Infamous, then I'll go to Wipeout.

Yeah... I've been thinking about that. Since I've started doing that, I feel like I haven't gotten the most out of my games. I started this when I got GameFly. Time for a change, I think.

It boggles my mind why you don't have the platinum for Tron yet. All you have to do is focus on it and you'd be done in a week.

I've been thinking about changing up the way I play too. I focus on one game until I'm absolutely sick of it and never want to play it again. Those Lego games might be easy platinums but by the end I was sick of them that I actually dreaded to turn the ps3 on. Same thing with Ratchet, I love that series, but by the time I got to 85% I was just ready for that thing to be over with.

I just can't stand having finished games in my collection that aren't at 100%. Which sucks cause that Bionic Commando Rearmed crap is never going to go any higher than 15%, probably the same with Mirror's Edge too. Mirror's Edge was like getting kicked in the balls just going through story mode, can't imagine the hell of going for all the trophies.

inFAMOUS is a pretty awesome game, especially when you get the unique travel system down. I am thinking Dead Nation and Wipeout since i have LBP and beat inFAMOUS.
