For those at home wondering, yes I use alcohol as an emotional buffer more than I should and I meditate on my own less that I should so I find Refuge Recovery meetings helpful. The two different groups I semi regularly attend have none of this ‘My name is Matthew, I’m an alcoholic and have been sober X days’ crap. Just some good reading/lessons on emotional and mental health, good discussions and community support and good guided meditation.

Yeah, maybe if we focussed a little less on blowin up brown people and the MIC we could have developed a nice government funded transportation system that employed a lot of people and allowed for some of us to enjoy getting fucked up without the problem of getting home from the party. Think of how many american lives we could have actually saved by employing the military to give sober rides home instead of blowin up the middle east.

I can't even imagine getting one! I was driving long before the DUI laws were even established. I drove one time intoxicated - for less than 5 miles. Scared the shit out of me. Never did it again.

Yeah, y’all are strict. An American with a DUI has to jump through 900 hoops to be able to go to Canada.

And just to be clear aside from a few youthful idiotic moments I haven’t driven drunk so have never gotten a DUI, but it is common knowledge up here how much a pain in the ass it is to cross the border with a DUI.

Americans with a DUI are considered ‘Inadmissible Persons’ and have to wait 5 years after conviction to apply for ‘Criminal Rehabilitation’ where they try and prove they can safely be allowed into Canada.

DUIs are a common leisure activity in the South. It's about heritage, not sobriety.

Everyone knows the reason Antifa stays decentralized is because there are criminal elements within their organizations so it helps shake law enforcement off their trail. They all have the same reading material distributed throughout their groups, they have the same instructions for protestors and rioters and how to behave. The may not have a top down leader, but they know damn well what they're doing and people like you like to play cute little games where you pretend they're just a harmless group of non-connected like minded individuals. It used to be that they didn't exist at all, so at least now there's some progress. Then you present them as some sort of respectable unbiased news source which is laughable. Random tweets from random people are not sources.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

So you are saying you did pay enough attention to understand the structure of 12 Step groups. You just disagree that Antifa has similar structure?

    Am I understanding you correctly?

three years since i punched that nazi threep at the demo/counter demo, and I still haven't gotten my badge :'(

my experience with the antifa "structure" is there's a facebook group for callouts and a bunch of unaffiliated groups ranging from UA' purple haired 20somethings to some major unions to a bunch of religious groups.

otherwise it's all jsut keeping an eye on the other side's announcements of FB.

And what evidence do you have of this?

How many different AA groups did you go to? Did you shop around and see what would be your best fit or did you just go to the closest one to you and/or did the court assign you one?

I imagine @Federal Farmer being afraid to go to bed at night because he thinks Antifa is hiding in his closet, so his parents turn on his Thomas the Tank Engine night light to help him sleep more soundly.
