I was originally passively shipping Rutherford and Tendi but I'm not certain Rutherford would even survive an Orion wedding
I just binged the first four episodes of the new season and they're great. The Orion episode was exceptional, and T'Lyn is a fantastic addition to the show, my god. Anyone else think T'Lyn sounds a lot like GLaDOS or Siri?
It's a victimless crime. No one is deprived of property. Media copyright restrictions are arbitrary and only benefit the 1%.
I really enjoyed this episode a lot, I'm really liking T'Lyn so it's good to have an episode centered around her. It's always good to have Rachael Dratch show up.
That one was OK, but not the best. Started out looking like a pretty boring retread of TNG's "Manhunt" (and that episode would have benefited from being 25 minutes long), then flipped over to having the same basic premise but because of the reason the same thing happened in "Sarek," but without that episode's emotional depth. On the other hand, we got a little bit of character development for T'Lyn, and some red meat for the Rutherford/Tendi shippers, so not all was lost.
Mike McMahon hasn't heard anything, but he's worried about Lower Decks staying on. https://trekmovie.com/2023/10/04/mi...r-decks-from-facing-the-same-fate-as-prodigy/
As few streaming shows go beyond five seasons, I'm not surprised Personally, this is 95 percent of the season I still pay for Pee+. The other 5 percent was Bold & the Beautiful but since that's fallen off a cliff so hard that Tamar is probably spinning in her grave, I'd have no reason to hold onto this app.
We were getting it on CTV/Crave here as part of basic TV subscription, but they've created their own a la carte premium channel for sci fi. Guess I won't be using legit means to view any more... I'm not paying twice.
Good episode. Can't resist seeing (hearing?) Rom and Leeta again. Is Mariner's "I sit weird in chairs" a Riker hat-tip? Is Rutherford/Tendi about to become canon?
Was NOT expecting a Garth Marenghi's Darkplace reference in a Trek episode title! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garth_Marenghi's_Darkplace
Max sounded a little off, at first,I don’t know if maybe it’s the lack of fake teeth or the years, but towards the end he sounded right.
Yeah, he started off sounding borderline mentally disabled. As soon as he said "I'm just a former bartender" it was clear he was fucking with them. "Baaaaseball" was just the icing on the cake.
I don't think people even knew his first name when they jumped on that, TBH. It's hard to chance the accepted portmanteau once it takes root. Ask me how I know this as the only person who wishes fandom went with "Mariboims" and not "Marinler."
Maybe they're all getting taken out in one fell swoop? As long as Peanut Hamper isn't having sex with a bird man, I guess I can tolerate her
I want an episode with all the Jeff Combs-es. Not just the Trek roles; I want Herbert West to freeze himself to the 24th century with a steampunk cryo-coffin.
