The key word being "unfounded whining". I assume then that you are saying that as long as I'm complaining about a television series or a movie or something else (fan fiction for example) that I have watched (or read) that everything is okay by you then?

    confirm or deny?

Chateau Picard always had random high tech stuff around the vineyard, seems like it's just a nod to that:

I meant that the JJ movies had those tall structures in the background, and they also look the same, which is what I meant by the JJ design. The watering system looks like it's an old watering system with upgrades.

Are those giant towers with dishes and stuff on them watering systems? I always thought they were just generic futuristic structures.

I'm totally fine with them adopting some of the JJVerse style aesthetics. Hook shit like the Franklin Yorktown Station up to my veins.

Not the towers, could be communication systems, or maybe some time of weather control/modification/monitoring system. Or something else.

I was referring to this as old upgraded looking watering system.

Judging by atmospheric perspective, those are really, really massive towers in the far distance (many miles away).

In the JJVerse, we see that San Francisco of the 23rd Century is kinda like San Francisco today, except with more futuristic buildings and a lot less human excrement on the sidewalks. However, it seems that in farm country, people are consolidated into these massive towers, and all the land is used for agriculture.

Or, it could be that it's just a movie, and the art direction went with what looked cool. :diacanu:

Those (meaning the modern ones we have now) are generally used for the spraying of herbicides/pesticides/fungicides. In a vineyard, where vines can literally be hundreds of years old, they tend to have permanent irrigation systems which are designed to consistently water the plants on a schedule. Rather than sending a truck down to spray water everywhere.

The confirmed answer is that if you continue to troll this forum you'll need to find some other activity to fill your leisure time.

Persist, and I suggest that you make use of the copy/paste function or borrow a laser printer from someone so you can preserve your diary thread.

Finally got a chance to watch it. Seems that Picard led a rescue mission which was successful, but that when Romulus was destroyed he became disenchanted.

I'm hoping that perhaps we see the Trek universe explored outside of the prism of Starfleet.

It's the shipyard from Star Trek 2009. Confirmed that Picard vineyards moved to Iowa.

How many times have we seen Star Trek characters drink wine (besides the episode where Picard confronts his brother)?

It would have been a nice easter egg if they were serving Picard branded wine at Joseph Sisko’s restaurant.

Does jambalaya pair well with wine?

Goes pretty well with white, but then I use chorizo in mine instead of the less spicy smoked sausage that is traditional.
