two words: b210, sx200. z cars were cool. 510s enjoy a strong following. Everything else they made was pretty vomitous. the good old days were pretty bad sometimes.
My first car was a 1973 Datsun B210. I bought it from a friend of my father's for $500.00 in 1983. We called it the "shitbox." It took a lot of effort to get it to go above 45 mph and it had a small hole in the floorboard. But it got me where I needed to go. I had it for a couple of years.
My first vehicle was along the lines of this: It was on the junky side, and it got shit gas mileage, but it was a solid truck and I loved her all the same.
This was my first car. Except, mine was shitty, not nice like the picture. It was the same color, though.
In high school the old z cars were very popular as they were relatively fast and cheap. It seemed like most of the high school kids got cars which were 10 to 20 years old because that was what they could afford so the z cars were the right age in the early 90's.
My first car was a 1974 VW bug which had previously belonged to my sister but she forgot to put oil in it and blew up the engine. When I was 15.5 my dad helped me rebuild the engine soI could have a car to drive when I turned 16. The engines were so simple even a teenager could figurethem out fairly easily plus the parts were dirt cheap. The only complicated part was that my dad wanted to switch it over to fuel injection but that was still only one little computer box and some wiring which we got out of a wrecked super beatle in a junk yard. I think it only cost a couple of a few hundred bucks to get a rebuilt engine in it.
The 1967-1972 Chevrolet C/K-Series are my absolute favorite body styles of all time. I want to start with that and end with this:
My first car was a used 1972 Buick LeSabre. I don't remember much about it. When I was really young my dad had a green colored Hudson.
