CNN reports that many of the Republican super PACs plan to join forces, with the singular objective of stopping Trump. Stick a knife in the GOP, they're done.

The problem is Cruz, who's ineligible, and Kasich and Carson who don't have a prayer but won't bow out. Those two handed Trump three states.

The turnout numbers are confirming what was seen in earlier primaries
In 2008 the Democrats had a turnout of 986,000 and the Republican turnout was 489,000.
This year the Democrats had only 798,000 and the Republicans had 1,019,000.

Democratic turnout dropped 20 percent. Republican turnout more than doubled.

There is one way to defeat Trump.

Rubio, Kasich, and Carson must drop out and throw their support to Cruz. The GOP must throw it's support to Cruz. Cruz is the only one who can beat Trump and has beat Trump. Cruz is also the only Republican at this point that has polls showing he can beat Hillary/Bernie. At this point Trump has no polls saying he can win the presidency.

But their hatred for Cruz is so pathetic and childish that they act like he's not even in the race.

The GOP is going to try and steal this nomination from Trump at the Convention. Trump in turn is going to stomp their asses into dust and either still take the nomination or go instant third party at which point Hillary will be the next President.

No fan of Sanders of course but he pisses me off.

He should have been the lefts version of Trump and just roasted Hillary. Instead he played nice.

But Cruz isn't eligible to be President because he was born in a foreign country, in a foreign hospital, and raised there. That's a major snag.

No, he's not natural born. Natural born citizens are born on US soil. Cruz is an automatically naturalized citizen, automatic because we don't want parents to go through hell to bring their kids home because parents are a pain in the ass to politicians. We're basically taking people's word about parentage when it comes to people born overseas. They might be real US citizens or they might not. We're not overly concerned about it in most cases, but sometimes we flatly reject their claims.

How many women have babies and claim that an American soldier was the father, without any real proof? A whole fucking lot. So much so that if we lower the bar, any child born overseas could claim their real father was an American citizen and thus they are qualified to be President, even if they've never set foot in this country. Sometimes it's a fair guess that someone's dad was an American soldier, or at least an American or European soldier, because you have a kid born to a Korean, Japanese, or Vietnamese woman who is obviously half white. One of my friends was such a child and got adopted by an American officer during the Korean War. Is he natural born? No way. He might not have even had an American father. Fortunately he was adopted and naturalized.

For "natural born" to mean anything, it has to exclude people born outside the US or its territories.

Seriously. Didn't we just spend eight years hearing Republicans scream that if Obama was born in Africa he was ineligible to be President? Thus the huge controversy over forcing him to provide his actual birth certificate, which he eventually did just to shut up the people who said he was disqualified from office.

So if Obama would be disqualified if he was born in Kenya instead of Hawaii, then Cruz is already disqualified because we know he was likewise born outside of the United States and its territories.

Even if Obama had been born in Kenya he still would have qualified to be President because his mother was an American.

No, that just makes him a US citizen. It doesn't make him a natural or native born citizen, it makes him a foreign born citizen. He can't be President, and the Democrats will no doubt establish that in court if he were the nominee.
