Hillary will be on trial or in prison unless Obama grants her a pardon. Today the FBI director said he's personally involved in her case, which has about 150 FBI agents working on it - for months. There's that much corruption to dig through.

If Ted Cruz isn't foreign born then Calgary would have to be part of the United States. Last I checked it was in Alberta. That doesn't mean Ted isn't a citizen, it just means he's not a native born citizen of the US, he's a foreign born citizen of the US. He is, however, an anchor baby in Canada.

People born in foreign countries are foreign born. They may or may not be US citizens, depending on whether their parents are citizens and whether the parents want to apply for citizenship for their kids, etc.

    According to the State Department:

A child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent or parents may acquire U.S. citizenship at birth if certain statutory requirements are met. The child’s parents should contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America (CRBA) to document that the child is a U.S. citizen. If the U.S. embassy or consulate determines that the child acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, a consular officer will approve the CRBA application and the Department of State will issue a CRBA, also called a Form FS-240, in the child’s name.

Note that it says "may acquire US citizenship", not "already has US citizenship". The birth certificate is not sufficient. We actually need to see more paperwork to find out if Ted Cruz is even a US citizen. And note that the consulate or embassy determines whether a child born to US parents acquired citizenship at birth. It's not automatic or every single mother, including prostitutes, in many foreign countries would claim the father of their child was an American. Could have been an Asian American, a black American, a white American, or just some random ass American. Hospitals don't ask a woman to prove the guy she puts down on the birth certificate is the real father. Heck, my neighbors have the wrong dad on their birth certificates. Their mom put down whatever her current boyfriend was, not the guy who knocked her up. A mother can put down any name on the birth certificate - and they do.

So did Mrs. Cruz file the proper paperwork for baby Ted, considering that she kept on living in Calgary for four more years? If she did, then Ted is a US citizen. If not then he's probably stateless because he renounced his Canadian citizenship. In either case he's foreign born.

A lot of people who can't stand Trump prefer him to Cruz. My ten year old got it right away when I started talking about Cruz' dominionist tendencies.

Probably half of Trump voters are really anti-Cruz voters. They will become anti-Trump voters in November.

I'm glad Clinton is trouncing Sanders decisively. Those Lefties really are living in a fantasy world.

I'm also glad Trump is leading the GOP, which means a Democrat will be the next president. :)

Yep, that has always been taken to mean that they can be considered a citizen at birth, without requirement of naturalization. gturner thrives on any circumstance that can be claimed as ambiguous. Too bad for him, this is a long settled matter.

It appears Bernie won four and Hillary won seven. Over all Bernie has won five of 16 states which is not enough.

What you want is to damage Clinton as much as possible in order to cripple her chances in November.

What Sanders wants is to bring to the campaign issues he cares about (inequality, campaign finance, Wall Street, etc.) and force Clinton to stake out a position so she can be held accountable when she becomes president.

He doesn't share your goal, so why should he use your methods?

Cruz has repeatedly come out ahead of Hillary in polls on who would win the general election.

In fact of all the Republicans he is the only one who consistently beats her in a general election according to polls taken on a race between him and Clinton.

Except Bernie didn't do anything you mentioned.

And Clinton is entangled in all those issues and could have been crushed by Bernie.

Instead Bernie was a chicken shit. Bernie should have ripped her over her wall street connections.

Except he didn't do that either as evidenced by the lackluster number of people showing up to vote for him.

He's a failure. Had he slammed Clinton as the insider she is he would have put up a real fight.

    MAOHS,

Rubio can't win the nomination at this point.

He's losing Florida, his own state. A winner take all state for the delegates.

Rubio literally has to win everything from this point forward to catch up and then pass everyone to a win. That's not going to happen. Rubio's strategy at this point is too win enough along with the others to prevent Trump from locking up the nomination and then going to a brokered convention. In such a situation he would still lose even if he became the nominee because Trump would immediately claim the GOP cheated and run third party in effect splitting the Republican vote and letting Hillary be president.

Only Cruz can still beat Trump at this point and out of Trump and Cruz only Cruz beats Hillary.

They're also stupid enough to vote for Hillary, despite her decades of corruption. But analysis I've heard says that a bunch of Sanders voters might just turn to Trump if Hillary is the nominee. And personally, given the two of them, I think Trump would shred Hillary in the general.

Pass everyone? I thought your plan was for everyone else to drop out and consolidate behind one anti-Trump candidate?

Y'know what would be really funny? If the Republicans dump Trump, he goes third party and wins the election. Now that would be some funny shit right there.

What? Cruz is not dropping out. Why would he? He's in 2nd place in delegates.

The plan is that Rubio, Carson, and Kaisch need to drop out and consolidate behind Cruz who is only 90 delegates behind Trump. Cruz can still beat Trump but he can not do it with the other three in the race. They've got to get out and support him.

So since Cruz is not dropping out and apparently neither are Carson and Kaisch my point still stands: Rubio has to literally win everything to catch up and pass everyone to a win. Rubio has to win enough to overcome Trump, Cruz, Carson and Kaisch and that's just not going to happen.

Rubio is looking at a brokered convention to try and get the nomination.

Oh I agree that Rubio probably can't win without everyone else dropping out and supporting him. I was just addressing your point about Cruz being the only ones the polls say can beat Hillary. Not only do the polls say Rubio can do it, they say he can do it by much wider margins.

That's a 5 point spread for Rubio and a 1.5 point spread for Cruz.

So the best chance for the GOP to win the Whitehouse is actually for Cruz, Carson, and Kasich to drop out and back Rubio.

What? Of course he did. Clinton has adopted nearly all of Bernie's positions, or at least modified versions of them. Sanders has inspired thousands of people whose votes Hillary will need if she's going to have a chance.

Hillary's coziness with Wall Street is a legitimate campaign issue and one Bernie has raised repeatedly. Multiple times in the past week he called on her to release the transcripts of her Goldman Sachs speeches. The whole idea of roasting Hillary on her scandals only works on people who already hate the Clintons, i.e. Republicans. This is a Democratic primary. If 25 years of attacks haven't soured Democrats on the Clintons, why should it work now?

    Complete nonsense.

Bernie could have roasted her on the Wall Street issue. He didn't. He went soft on her. Forget her other scandals.

And Sanders didn't inspire shit as evidenced by the low turnout of Democrat voters.
