yes 14th Doctor but this is not exactly the same. These white farmers were working the land themselves, or (I would imagine) hiring black help. But being kicked out means nobody will work the land since nobody is left to hire the help. In the US if we crack down on illegal help worst case the farmers (who still own the land) have to pay more for help from whites or blacks (who will demand more money) but at least crops will still be grown & harvested & brought to stores.

If the land is (supposedly) stolen, the people on the land should receive due process before losing their property. A government issuing a blanket seizure of land based solely on the color of the landowner is hardly due process.

Since the current political order in South Africa is decades old, it's a bit late to be claiming this land is stolen.

I feel bad for the farmers who are going to have their land stolen, but I take comfort in the fact that socialism always produces misery, so those who are stealing it (or supporting the theft) will reap the consequences.

Many have owned the farms and worked their farms for eight or nine generations. Before there were any black bantus even in the area to "steal" from. The only natives there were Khoisan hunter gatherers so how is it returning stolen property to give it to a group who arrived 100 years AFTER European colonization?

A better analogy with illegal immigrants might be someone who got amnesty in the 1980s suddenly being declared illegal again.

It is worth noting that traditionally the primary food grown by the Bantus now found in South Africa is corn, introduced by Europeans, as before that the tropical bantu agriculture package would not grow in the Mediterranean climate of most of South Africa. Thus why Khoisan hunter gatherers were the only group there and why those hunter gatherers had such sparce population densities. Like in the Americas and Australia disease did the vast majority of the native depopulation (of the Khoisan) and the Bantu took advantage of the Khoisan depopulation just like the Europeans did. Bantus moving down from the north (fed by crops introduced by Europeans) and Europeans moving north from the cape.

The EFF certainly believes that to be true and they are the far left wing (they actually do call for nationalization of all property and means of production) group the ANC has been losing black supporters too. Thus why the ANC has now adopted the EFF's main talking point of let's steal from those white people and give their stuff to our supporters. They are hoping doing so will make voters forget how the ANC has corruptly stolen everything it ever touched and so fend off the EFF at the polls.

The EFF leader was recently quoted as saying "We demand the seizure of white owned land but we are not calling for the extermination of whites... Yet." That is who ignorant fairy tale believing dullards like 14D is supporting.

It was already addressed at the nation's founding. Seriously, there was a whole land restoration and compensation process over the last 25 years and well over 90% of the claims have been settled by the courts. In most cases the blacks did not want the land back but wanted cold hard cash and were given it by the post apartheid state. That is why the current round is literally nothing more than theft and looting.

It is worth noting whites now only make up around 8% of the population but pay most of the taxes. Virtually none of it goes for things they want and a huge share of the tax money simply disappears into ANC corruption. The ANC just doesn't do shit other than steal things. Not even basic shit like maintaining water systems or paying for public education.

Property rights are a scam perpetrated mostly by whites, but always by the wealthy. For most of history, you got whatever you wanted by taking it from someone weaker than you by whatever means necessary. Then once the rich got enough of everything, they turned around and made up rules that said you couldn't take their stuff anymore, that was suddenly a crime. Never mind how they or their ancestors got it in the first place.

I applaud his sentiments but I notice the EMP said the UK should do something and never mentioned the EU doing anything. I get that he is a British EMP but still an EMP. That kind of sums up the EU. They are worthless and only demand action from other people while trying to undemocratically fuck over everyone.
