It's become clear that any group, no matter how political or partisan, can receive tax exempt status as a 501(c)4. It's also become clear that the IRS is woefully underfunded and understaffed. The methods that were used to determine tax exempt status definitely merit investigation, however the Republicans in Congress are not the appropriate group to carry out that investigation, since they have zero credibility.

And you assert that they have zero credibility on this issue based on what?

Because they have the goal of eliminating the IRS. That's the motivation here, not cleaning up a minor impropriety at a regional office. Well that, and going after Obama because they hate him.

Every admin. had a "degree" of corruption because with so many people involved, every admin. has some bad eggs.

What makes President Obama stand out is that he sticks his nose up and acts sanctimonious about everything as though he and his is "above it all".

Ironically, to Obama I don't think he sees anything being done as "corrupt". He is at heart a Chicago machine politician. All of this is just how "things are done" in the windy city. He probably wonders what the big deal is.

In short, the government is so big that the government isn't aware of what the government is doing. So obviously the only way to get any oversight is to make the government even bigger.

At no time was the Obama Administration privy to the details of the Obama Administration's activities. Especially if said activities are discovered and show the potential to become damaging to the Obama Administration.

He's a Democrat, and he kicked their ass. And they can't figure out that he did it because they were week, and not because people voted for his skin color. So they fixate on something it isn't, get more pissed about the black eyes and bloody nose he gave them, and fail to realize that they can beat him by offering better ideas, so instead they go digging in the dirt for mud to smear him with.
