It occurred to me today that had it been any other politician (including Republican Senator John Cornyn) their flight to Cancun probably would've gone with little or no notice.

But Cruz is so widely disliked even by people in his own party that his fellow travelers jumped at the chance to out him.

I will say his excuses are better than Ted's.

I will say his excuse only works if he admits to the failures of texas in deregulation of their power grid and admits it to his people so that they get proper information they can vote on. I can see his immediate point, but he really needs to object to the old party line of not needing help from anyone else, and not needing regulations to capitalism in necessary utilities.

Can’t help but notice that Ted’s in shirtsleeves in the pics. This means he’s not in one of the cold parts of Texas.
