Any particular reason you haven't bothered posting these stories in this very thread?
    1. Who's "we?"

    2. Hubris bubble? That's what gets a laugh out of you these days?

    3. Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing if the invasion of Ukraine ends with anything other than a loss for Putin?

The reason I don't bother posting stories anymore is that they get ignored or ridiculed.

We is the people who don't follow MSM western narratives.

It always makes me laugh when arrogant people are proven wrong.

I think a loss for Putin is always a good thing, but the situation in Ukraine isn't that simple and you should know that.

Plenty of people have been dropping war updates in the thread. If yours aren't ridiculous, surely someone will read them.
"MSM western narratives" is such a weird phrase for someone normally so pro-American to use. :chris:
Is it arrogance, or desperate optimism?
How is it not that simple? A lot of people seem to agree that Putin isn't well and he wants to create a new Russian Empire before he dies. If his aspirations aren't nipped in the bud in Ukraine, they're going to have to be nipped in the bud somewhere else, and if that somewhere else turns out to be a NATO member, that's bad news for the whole world.

Was an American victory in Afghanistan inevitable? Or an American victory in Iraq? Or Vietnam?

Why is a Russian victory inevitable here?

Putin got exactly what he wanted and this war wasn't about creating a Russian Empire, it was about Ukraine not joining NATO.

And here it is folks, proof that what @RickDeckard said is true. Here you have Morning Joke backpedaling and coming to conclusions that people like Jimmy Dore said was going to happen when this whole thing started. Here you have one analyst trying to turn losses into victories.

Just because your boy sucks Putin’s cock doesn’t mean you have to.

He didn’t write a history paper on how Ukraine was Russia because he didn’t think Ukraine was Russia.

He didn’t give multiple speeches on how Ukraine was Russia because he didn’t think Ukraine was Russia.

He didn’t build a museum about how Ukraine was Russia because he didn’t think Ukraine was Russia.

He didn’t state that the point of the invasion was to add eastern and southern Ukraine ‘back’ into Russia because he didn’t think Ukraine was Russia.

Now, after stomping on his own dick for a year and a half he has pulled back the war aims to just holding on to Crimea and capturing all of the Donbass but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t originally aiming for more.

So instead he got *checks notes* every other European country on his border to join NATO, and vast amounts of support to Ukraine from NATO countries.

Which is an overt loss, because you can't join NATO when you are in a territorial dispute with another country. So if they waive the rules to allow Ukraine to join NATO as a member, then it will be because of Putin's invasion. At the moment they are members of the 'Partners for Peace', which is nominally all they can be in the normal situation.

It is always great when the boy brings his podcast heroes in. It is the Incel idiot checklist. Who is he goinbg to bring in today? Will it be Joe Rofgan, Jimmy Dore, Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Alex Jones, Steven crowder, andrew tate, or That guy who I am blanking on right now, but he used to have a bowtie and inherited all his money as a chicken magnate.

It is actually awesome I forgot his name because I thought I would never forget his name. Either my brain is going, or this is a good day.

Oh yeah, fucker carlson, that's the guy. Stupid brain, I am going to get the crayon.

I'm not remotely happy about it. Ukraine should be whole and military aggression should not be a way for any state to advance its interests. But it appears that it is true nonetheless. Posting "hurr - stoopid Russkies" gets boring after a while and is often just propaganda to obscure the reality that Russians just have the manpower resources to win any war of attrition.

Even if Russia ends up holding that territory, yes.
Russia could take and hold that dirt, and it still lost the war, because it lost its standing as near-peer on the International Stage and is playing second fiddle to China and to North Korea.
Meanwhile, even if Ukraine cedes control of those regions to Russia, it won the war because it broke Russia's military and reputation.

Agreed, but my guess is they do better than that. Crimea is in a precarious position, and the Russians have shown they can't project naval power. We could easily see next year with the siege of the peninsula and Russia's own attack on the waterways that flooded the region will come back to haunt them because those were the majority sources for fresh water. And it doesn't look like the Russians could resupply the Crimea peninsula by sea.

This is likely to get a whole lot nastier next year.

It's an economic coalition, not a military alliance.
That coalition is Russia's economic lifeline, especially when India stepped up to import when NATO sanctioned the living fuck out of Moscow (and India stepping up was/is a good thing). But militarily speaking, India is staying out of the affair, China's shown some exasperation, and South Africa and Brazil don't have much to contribute as far as I can tell, especially if Putin's putting himself in Kim Jung Un's pocket.

It’s tough to tell, but it’s not something to scoff at, IMO and I’m not sure Biden or Trump are quite prepared to handle this new positioning. Look at 100 years ago, do you not see similar parallels? We’re nearing the middle of the 2020’s and a lot of similar things are happening. We need a FDR type person to champion the American people and I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Laugh all you want Turdforge, but things are warming up.
