I’m not discounting what you’ve said. I’m just saying I didn’t see the rings, therefore, it wasn’t obvious to me.
I'm thinking beskar is probably really light, but a full long shirt of chain mail in stainless steel (thigh length/full sleeves) usually comes in about 20 lbs for a mid sized person like me.
I started making myself chain mail a while back. I got about half of a top piece made, long enough to come to my waist. It probably weighs 3-4 points so far. No sleeves though. So yeah, what you're describing would come to about twenty pounds.
Disney Exec: Guys, we're four episodes in, and Boba Fett just isn't doing as well as we'd hoped. The Mouse: Send in Din Djarin.
It’s a good thing Clone Wars never devoted an entire episode to silly droids fucking off an not continuing the story.
I get an immense kick out of the fact that Boba Fett’s protocol droid is Douglas Renholm from the IT Crowd.
"Don't zap Baby Yoda. Don't zap Baby Yoda. Don't zap Baby Yoda." Zaps Baby Yoda. Is it Cad Bane? It has to be Cad Bane... It has to be Cad Bane. It is Cad Bane!!
Wow, these shows really are becoming extensions of Clone Wars in the bigger picture and I'm fine with it. Eventually they'll have to make sense of the sequels.
I haven't started watching this yet, I was gonna wait until more episodes are out. Is this any good? I hear it's not as good as The Mandalorian.
After the first four episodes - which were slow and at times boring due to extended use/reliance on flashbacks - the show jettisons Fett and focuses nearly entirely on Mando, Luke, baby Yoda and other Mando friends for the next two episodes. The overall Fett plot is dropped. There are only seven episodes total so this has added up to the most disjointed thing since the sequel trilogy. It’s an epic failure of imagination. They didn’t have enough creativity to do a Fett show so they quickly went to that nostalgia well. Next week I assume Han Solo will cameo next.
Regarding Baby Yoda’s choice he’s going to choose the Jedi way because that would sell a hell of a lot more toys, right?
Top 5 selling action figures in 2020 were two SuperCommandoes, Mando, Cad Bane and Boba (least to fave) Even in 2018 Boba was #1. Luke was the first Jedi in the top 5.
Overall I liked Clone Wars. But a ton of the episodes were boring as shit in my opinion. Especially that arc where a bunch of droids teamed up for some mission. Those were tough to sit through. I think they could have cut off a season or two worth of episodes and the show would have been much better for it. Rebels was a bit better in staying focused on the main characters. As for the Boba Fett show, someone dropped the ball in the writing room. It felt like we were watching the premiere episode of the Mandalorian rather than episodes 5 and 6 of Boba Fett. I'm afraid Boba Fett is just not that interesting of a character and these episodes confirm it. Even his Clone Wars episodes weren't very interesting. I'm more interested in what will happen with Mando and his storyline. Could care less which crime faction controls Tatooine. We got the first onscreen meeting between Luke and Ahsoka. I was hoping it would be longer. I'm guessing they met multiple times before this during the Rebellion and have already discussed their complicated histories with Anakin Skywalker. Would have liked to have seen some of that here. Maybe we will get more of that in the Ahsoka show. Is Mark Hamill getting paid for this digital deepfake of him? Its impressive but I hope the actor is getting compensated for his likeness being used like this. That could open up a can of worms in Hollywood.
