Nothing new here, just a repackaging of things that have been known for years. Another hit-piece by those with TDS.

That comment was obviously made in jest, but the truth is that Donald Trump lost every demographic in the US except white people.

Tge tax return data is very new and shows out and out tax fraud.

Both Chup & Alpha Man have valid points: every election about 90 percent (give or take a couple of percentage points) of the black voters vote democrat. So by saying "white people" it's certainly not black voters that were mainly responsible for putting Trump into office. In other words it's an implied "given" that while a typical white voter is 50 percent likely to vote Republican, a typical black voter is only 10 percent likely. Thus his comment doesn't make me uncomfortable because I know how elections work in the US and for better or worse, that's just the way it is here.

But Chup's article does point out that with strong black support it could be enough to give Trump a victory in a tight race.

Currently blacks are about 15 percent of the US population. Ideally blacks are 15 percent of the US voting population too, all other limiting factors being relatively equal such as transportation to the voting locations, temporary incarceration, etc. etc.
So if 10 percent (the flipside of 90) vote Republican that's 1.5 percent of the Republican votes, a bigger margin of victory than Trump had over Hillary. Imagine if that percentage got boosted to 20? The days of Democrats not having to work for black votes would come to an end very quickly I would think!

If the IRS, the state of New York, and New York City all of who would be involved in the Trump family's taxes never raised any flags than what is everyone yapping about again?

That Trump fibbed over a $1 million loan? Every single person on this planet who knows about Trump knows he's an egomaniac and a giant bragger. No one cares.

Donald Trump's biggest success is convincing people that he's a successful businessman. Reality is he failed more often than not.

No doubt, but white people are the biggest voting block in sheer numbers. White people are the one demographic that will "make or break" every election. It's the only demographic that you must win over.

Even if you fail in any career or occupation you are still "in the game" and gaining experience and adding to your skillset. The only way to avoid failure is to never get outside your comfort zone, to never take chances. Temporary failure is just a part of the process and a mathematical certainty if you stay in the game long enough.

So your argument is that you don't understand why so many people care about this story, because they shouldn't care about this story, because nobody cares about this story?

Looks like Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of NY are going to be investigating the claims made by The NYT.

This is like during the campaign when everyone was flipping out over Trump taking a huge deduction.

Three government entities have been approving Trump's taxes for years. They've audited him multiple times over the last few decades. If he had broken any laws they'd be the first ones to call him on it.

Really? So taking the black vote out of the equation for argument's sake, no Democrat has ever won the majority of the white only vote? That would entail of course beating them by X percent of the vote (the equivalent of the black votes when we take those out of the equation). But if the Democrats ever COMPLETELY pissed off enough white people to cause them to vote Republican, they would be fucked like Chuck. If the Democrats ever COMPLETELY pissed off every single black voter (just threw them under the bus in a very public manner) there's still a slight chance they could win. Matter-of-fact there could be enough fed up apolitical apathetic whites who might think "hey! Those Dems are okay after all!" and come out of the woodwork to vote Democrat. What will be interesting is in a few more decades when whites will be the minority in the US. I wonder how (or even if) this will change election politics & strategy!

To say that the loan made people feel like he is one of them is stupid. No one feels like Trump is “one of them.” His appeal is his promises, and now, his delivery.

Even known Wizard David Duke got 6 percent of the black vote during his Senate run in the 90s.
