And as I was reminded of by one of the podcasts I listen to, the reason we saw the tapes was because a lawyer they talked to (but didn't pay) gave the video to a right-wing radio station as he thought that it would help the murderers! The station posted it on their site, then pulled it down a couple of hours later after it went viral and folks started saying, "That looks like murder to me!" Good Christ, are we a failed civilization.

So if I understand this correctly, after being convicted, he wanted to go back and change his plea to "guilty," a meaningless gesture in exchange for which he could get transferred to a better prison? Fuck that.

It's for the federal charges. Violating civil rights.

They need to serve their time in the prison where they are most likely to get ass raped as much as possible.

The feds claim the Arbery's family attorney told them the family was okay with the deal, the family says "no fucking way". Somebody fucked up...the finger pointing is going to be interesting.

Similar incident, though the guy survived and had even more reason to be in the area than Arbery. Fucking racists.

Those guys need to be under the jail. Also, 8 days after, and they were released on bail? I think the kid is right and the local police and judge should be recused from the case and possibly charged with obstruction and corruption charges. There is no excuse for this bullshit. every day those two are out of jail is a fucking gift of freedom from the courts because they should be dying behind bars.
