If you had children, and if you paid any attention to them, they would tell you all kinds of stories about their teacher's private lives that the teacher probably had no idea the children knew.

In this scenario, basically, all children's books, movies, and other reading material is off limits. Even Fun with Dick and Jane refers to their parents, so that 's out the fucking door. Math problems? No, fuck no. they talk about Johnny (presumably a boy) giving apples to other people who have names that are the same names my sisters have.

What in the fuck are you guys even talking about? Think, Monkey. Think.

Another argument that Asyncritus has developed some sort of mental issue and has created a dual. First, the long-winded posts about nothing, now, be an asshole to me then cry because I'm an asshole back.

Once more for your good ear - SHUT THE FUCK UP. No one is talking to you.

    @Nova
Not going to line-by-line the concentrated spam of someone who couldn't be bothered to keep up with the conversation as it happened, but it's just more of the same anyway. Casting yourself as the endlessly put-upon victim or just standing on the suffering others, to both shield yourself from criticism and demand overt displays of respect you have not earned from people over whom you have no authority. You are not unique in this behavior, nor does anything about you grant a special pass to perpetrate it.

You want explicit and plainspoken? This issue can be reduced to the self-obsessed desire to undermine parents. To cast them as abusive for not being quick enough to pay for elective medical procedures or affirming wardrobe for young children. To villify them for refusing silly shit like "men can give birth" or "there are as many genders as there are stars in the sky and it is your moral obligation to recognize them all." And no, you are not being sly to weave in actual medical facts in with your OPINIONS on how society should view these subjects. That is the echo chambers you haunt failing you with prepackaged rationalizing.

Nor is invoking suicide the all-defeating trump card you think it is. First, because we both know damned well no amount of affirmation prevents it. Second, because ot represents a dire mental health situation for which teachers are not remotely qualified and public schools are not equipped. Third, because "do what I want or I will kill myself" is shitty, unhealthy behavior that needs to be addressed before that child grows into a horrible malignant narcissist. Fourth, maybe most importantly, because the "end justifies the means" pragmatism you're trying to float is a bullshit smokescreen.

If you were really intent on preventing kids from being bullied for how they present, you could shave every student's head and send them to school in gray unisex jumpsuits. All bathrooms single occupancy and all activities co-ed. If the goal was to prevent suicide at all costs, all of the appropriate intervention would be focused on the suicidal individual.

But you're not satisfied by that level of engagement, are you? Because it doesn't service the true goal. They are props for use as leverage towards your actual target: VALIDATION, and the free will of those who do not volunteer it as readily as you would like and have no authority to compel.
That's why it wouldn't simply be enough to exclude religion and that's why it can't be confined to simple biology. When you give people a choice, most won't give a shit, and someone has convinced you that you should never have to suffer indifference.

Glad you've confessed that you're not here to argue in good faith one damned bit.
We're not your standup audience, and we're not you're hitting pillow.
    Fuck off.

Why is that a bad thing? Everyone wants validation of some kind. It's a human thing. Not a "liberal"/"left"/"trans"/"gay" thing.

Telling children "you are X gender, therefore you must behave 'this' way" is just as destructive to ... typical children who behave as society allows them due to their genitalia. Don't even get me started on the "boys will be boys" thing or "girls mature faster than boys". and how destructive that shit is.

And nobody is entitled to it. Teaching juveniles otherwise is doing them a disservice that will have lasting repercussions into adulthood.

I agree. This is just boilerplate human behavior, and NOBODY is special.

While all that is true, it all comes down to how you individually behave toward others. Don't be an asshole. Example below:

Asshole: Did he just say that?
    Someone: Who?
Asshole: Him (points to person who looks one way, but feels differently)
Person who looks one way, but feels differently: Please refer to me as she or her.
Asshole: Fuck you, I don't need to validate you.

    As opposed to:

Not an asshole: Did he just say that?
    Someone: Who?
Not an Asshole: Him (points to person who looks one way, but feels differently)
Person who looks one way, but feels differently: Please refer to me as she or her.
Not an Asshole: Did she just say that?

You don't have to validate someone just to not be an asshole.

It's never a "please." It's "I will screech at you until you bend to my will."

What do you do when nobody shows up to be screeched at? You take the party to a venue where the audience can neither leave nor tell you to fuck off.

On the evidence of Paladin and UA, if teachers DO act like inhuman educational machines, the kids grow up to be cunts of the highest order.

Children pick up their social cues from all of us. I remember watching all of the adults I knew, picking up little idiosyncrasies and little details about their lives they likely had no idea they were sharing. Expecting teachers to pretend they're not fully developed human beings creates little clones who believe they have to hide large aspects of their lives in order to maintain a smooth social order, which never works. It never works trying to convert human beings into logic machines. We're emotional, often irrational beings, and that will *always* shine through, no matter what we pretend we're imparting to future generations, so I'd rather kids pick up all of the good cues along with the (mostly) unintentional bad cues. It helps them form well-rounded ideas, rather than basing their own behavior on missing information.

You say "maintain a smooth social order," I say function in reality, where your feelings will rarely ever be the priority, which should be the main priority of anyone responsible for the development of a child.

Like it or not, that includes learning enough discipline to not be a slave to those emotions. The highest measure is not "are you happy?", but "can you function regardless?"

UA's argument - people are going to be cunts. So rather than teach them NOT to be cunts, teach people to accept cuntish behaviour.
