There is a difference between progress and 'progressives' - the former is to be welcomed, the latter have co-opted the word to justify an expanding state and tax increases and to try and negate any debate on it by painting any opposition as 'regressive'.

Generally I would agree with you, but this is what Dicky does now. I've lost faith in giving him the benefit of the doubt. Even if he legitimately debates for a little bit, when it gets down to the nitty gritty, he's worthless.

When he gets called out on a point he previously made, he either twists it with a "Did I say that?", or more recently, out of what appears to be laziness, a "prove it."

Who the hell (a few pages back) said The South skews more conservative that liberal? That's a pretty broad statement, because it's dependant on racial demographics. Any majority black city will be heavily liberal (Democrat) and the whiter suburbs will skew conservative.

Few whites will be liberal around here, so I guess that might prove statistically that The South is more conservative.

Race is extremely important in politics at all levels in The South.

In slight opposition to that, I can understand the position of a lurker, who simply enjoys the information, but we both know that's not you. You criticize others and offer nothing of your own that doesn't also include criticizing others.
