I can see you have no intention of answering the question. Alphaman's observation was spot on. And yes, Till was murdered for talking to a white woman while black. That's a hate crime when it is only due to the differentness of the victim.

As far as I'm concerned the philosophy about "intent" should apply to hate crimes as well.

There is the saying that "intent follows the bullet".

That is, if someone shoots at one person intending to murder them and the bullet misses and hits and uninvolved third party and kills them, the shooter can still be charged with premeditated murder.

I think is a crime is brutal and heinous enough, "hate" can be inferred regardless of the intent of the perps.

Not for just the fact that the perps were black and the victims were white, but because of the sheer viciousness and brutality of it. I've linked upthread to a more detailed story of the crime. Thanks for answering that other question. I'll check out the other article. As I've already said, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a hate crime. And to be honest, it really shouldn't matter as far as sentencing and such. A crime this heinous is a special category, regardless of motivation.

The honest truth is if it is hard, it's because they make it hard on themselves through their own choices, just like white people who make things hard on themselves. Trust me, around here EVERYTHING is run through the racism/victim machine.

Last week a cop (happened to be white) was trying to control a kid (happened to be black) that was running from a yard that was being burglarized. Kid was resisting arrest big-time and the cop accidently gave him a black eye - no other injuries. The cop had a flashlight in one hand, a radio in the other. It was a tiny flashlight - not a big Mag Light, but the kid's mom said that the cop struck her kid repeatedly with the flashlight. None of the other cops at the scene would agree with that. Total fabrication.

Holy shit! The kid's mom gave a press conference saying her son was profiled because since he had dreadlocks the white cop assumed he was a suspect and was extra hard on him. No, it was because the fucker ran and fought when he found at the scene of a crime. She was upset that none of the cops that showed up were black. Thus nobody understood the culture and talked to the child properly, etc. etc.

Yes, the cop was fired toot sweet. BTW one of the Sherrif's old buds once KILLED A MAN WITH A FLASHLIGHT and got off with basically no punishment.
Yet the sherrif had the balls to say this cop used excessive force! Oh, the irony! The kid ended with a black eye that he probably got rolling around and tussling. This cop was 260 pounds - if he hit this kid repeatedly (or even once) he'd be in a coma.

I hope this bitches house gets surrounded by drug crazed thugs some night. When she calls the police they say "sorry, but all our black cops are busy. Since you only want black cops in your neighborhood, you might have to wait a while. Thank you for your patience!"
