The hate crime you probably haven't heard of

I had heard of this story. Knoxville isn't too far away and it was very much in the news here back at the time.

Whatever you do, don't you dare suggest it might be better if one of the victims had a gun and the skills to use it effectively. It's safer for society that you be defenseless when sadistic, car-jacking rapist animals come around.

I mean, they might have accidentally violated the rights of one of those poor, misunderstood pillars of the community who were just working out their frustrations over an inherently unjust society.

There are details of the story omitted. It is actually even worse than it sounds.

Jackson and Sharpton would only show up if the perps were not black, or if one of them had been wrongly convicted. Those two fucktards only give a shit about anything if it helps them in the long run. It would be a national fucking holiday if something happened to either fuckwit.

The article doesn't mention that they cut the guy's penis off after they raped him but before they killed him. It also doesn't mention that they girl was gang raped possibly for as long as 2 days before they poured bleach down her throat and shot her, and then stuffed her in a garbage can to die of suffocation.

What shocks me aside from the heinous nature if this crime, is the fact that Maud Dib, Uncle Albert and Glen Beck all seem to be advocating FOR hate crimes statutes. Pillars of intellectual consistency... All of you!

If you will recall, I am openly opposed to "hate crimes". A crime is a crime, no matter the race of the victim or the perp.

But if hate crime laws are going to be applied, then they should be applied equally and fairly. We are all entitled to equal protection under the law.

No you didn't. Nothing in post 15 says anything about whether they were charged with a hate crime. And no post provides any information about that at all. It's not a hate crime simply because the victim and attacker are different ethnicities. People who think it should be a hate crime need to explain why. It very well might be one, I don't have enough information, although it's interesting that at least one victim's parents don't think it was.
